Can any1 explain the corporate structure of Temptation Resorts? Who is the majority owner? Where are the major decisions being made? Is it privately owned or part of an umbrella of a large corporation? If so is the company publically traded? Does RCI (timeshare company) have an interst or wholly own TTR? Apparently Unique is being built, but what else does the company have planned for the future? Does anyone know who would have this information? thanks

Its owned by LePena(sp?) family if that helps you out at all. RCI really has nothing to do from a business structure standpoint with the resort.
This is how I understand it, might be wrong. The de la Pena's own the resort. Diego de la Pena (Diego's Bar, Don Diego Catamaran) was an original 'pioneer' in the development of Cancun and the person responsible for TTR being built and opening. The hotel is totally run by 'the family' as a private venture. They are a very famous and powerful family in Cancun, featuring in the socialite magazines monthly and invited to all the big opening events where it's who you know not what you know that counts. Even 17 yr old second cousins drive a Porsche if they have the surname. Diego's kids - quite a few sisters maybe a brother or two are who run the hotel today. One in control of the gift shop, one in control of the tour company Albatross, one in control of the Spa etc. Re the timeshare it's quite convoluted, and I'm not up to date on the current situation after some radical changes 6 months or so ago. I believe RCI make their cut from the 'bonuses' LOL that are offered along with a TS package with the hotel and Premier (a separate company) going 50/50 on the sales. Unik on Isla Mujeres is still under construction, has been a few years now and work seemed to have stopped last time I went by.
