For those of us arriving Monday, it looks like we may be in for some winds and rain! I'm sure there will still be plenty to do
I arrive on Wednesday... I am prepared to do ANYTHING to make sure this storm doesn't screw up my vacation!
A bit of wind and rain won't be too bad....just have to move the drinking and partying into one of the clubs - lol!
I've never been there when the weather's nasty..I wonder what happens! Let's hope it doesn't happen though!
Ok here's the plan... Until I get there on Wednesday drink lots! Bring cards and start a drinking game. Then start another one. Repeat until I arrive. I will then have more drinking games ready. I will have to start to research drinking games I suppose. It's not like I was actually useful at work this week anyways! :beergone: :canada: :michaelf: :viva:
Can't see this one becoming a hurricane. Too much land, not enough water before it reaches us. But remember TS can mean up to 70mph winds so we could still be in for a rough ride and a lot of rain.... not like we dont have enough at the moment... rain that is. One to keep an eye on for sure though.
Now what? LOL OK...here’s the deal. We fly in on Sunday for a week of what is supposed to be “fun in the sun” and the wife is now beginning to freak out with respect to whether or not she has packed for this trip correctly, LMAO. With all this talk about stormy weather, I have to ask the question: Has there been any decent weather at TTR lately? We've been checking weather forecasts everyday for over a month now and almost every day has indicated rain. OK...I get the fact that TTR is located in a tropical location and if it is anything like Hawaii, rain falls every day, even if for just 5-10 minutes. If that's the case, it's bearable; but if it's been the non-stop type rain that is preventing fun in the sun and pool side activities...basically a "show stopper"; that is going to call for an attitude adjustment (on my behalf, LOL) and a change in attire since we basically planned on being pool side all day every day until it's time to clean up for evening festivities. So currently, our suitcases basically consist of a lot of swim suits and a lot of evening wear, LMAO. Can anyone who has been there very recently provide a little insight as to what a recommended packing list (clothes-wise, lol) should consist of based on the seemingly variable weather patterns being currently experienced at TTR? We are 1st-timers to TTR and really want to make the most out of this experience, regardless of the weather (though the sun would be EXTREMELY NICE), but we don't want to be stuck with just swim wear and evening wear with nothing in between in case the weather prevents us from getting that much deserved tan. HELP! As always, everyone's comments and advice are greatly appreciated!
