Anybody else have trouble changing their avatar? I delete my avatar, attempt to upload a new pic and it always reverts back to the old avatar. Any help would be appreciated.
Hey neighbors...I have trouble every time I try to change or add pics on this site. I assumed it was the interface with my Mac.
I am not sure your problem, but one suggestion if you aren't seeing things refresh would be to close your browser completely and reopen if after deleting temporary internet files. Your PC could be holding on to the old image for speed purposes, when in reality it was actually updated. One other thing I was thinking (and I am not sure if it was this site before or somewhere else), is that when I loaded a pic it was actually too large, but an error message wasn't displayed saying that and it wouldn't take. So I had to open the picture in paint shrink it, then I was able to successfully upload it. BTW you avatar pic looks good, and I don't think it was the pic you guys had before (I remember amazing butts in that one)
I have had issues with our avatar not showing up pretty much only when the site is loading slow which is almost all the time lately, ours and others avatar dosent show up on the posts. I sent Steve a message about it to let him know any it's still hit or miss. We did change our avatar pic and the same issues are still happening. T
That sucks...I didn't even look at your dates. It looks like we have the perverted health care worker in common. Maybe we can catch up some other time.
This was due to CDN (Content Delivery Network) I was using to try and speed the site up. Each time a thread is accessed the CDN checks each avatar to see if it has changed. Of course 99.999% of the time there are no changes, so I basically asked it to make this check every 8 hrs in an attempt to add some speed. I didnt realise at the time but that then introduces issues like this. I'm going to revert that chnage. The speed issue I think is 99% down to the ads. I'm going to turn off most of the ads for logged in members and see how big the income hit is.
