We want to do some trips when we get back in september but the trips with our tour provider seem expensive - the cheapest on the list being the jetski safari for $75 each. Has anyone used the tour people in TTR? Are they similar prices? Are they safe?
safe, yes. Expensive, yes. The drawback is that every person that you encounter or talk to on that is part of the trip will expect a tip. Some of these tours seem like you are getting attacked for tipping people for a nice smile and an Buenos Dias... We have done all the parks and trips and adventures in our first couple of times to Mexico and they were fun and expensive if you add up all the tips and gifts you want to buy. We learned to just hand at the Hotel, relax during the day and party at night. We mostly do one trip and hang back at the hotel for the remainder of the time we spend in Cancun.

Just a question, and not being mean spirited either. If you are planning a trip to Cancun, and you want to do the excursions and activities that abound in the area, why do you want to stay at TTR? I mean, Temptation is awesomely fandedamntastic, but if you are leaving during the day to go off and do other things, you're missing one of th e 2 best parts of being at the place. Namely, daytime around the Sexy Pool. I don't understand, so please help me. The only times we leave the place when we're there is when we're there for a week or +, and we want to go somewhere else to eat, or want to go hit a nightclub/bar like Senor Frogs, Carlos & Charlie's, etc.
Personal I like to do at least one tour,, the best tour,,, the must do tour, STEVE'S Boobs Cruise, which is a one day excursion. If I stay more then 7 days I will try and squeeze another one in. I will be looking into the private tour thing this time around, sounds like fun.
Some folks, us included enjoy doing other things besides spending the day around the sexy pool. Yes as much fun as that is, we like to spend one day and experience the Mexican people and the culture Mexico has to offer. Because we like to do that doesn't mean we should stay at another resort does it? This will be our second trip to TTR and enjoy everything about it. It is also fun doing some exploring in a foreign land with my Wife. Different strokes for different folks.
We're there for 2 weeks so would be good to see a little of mexico even if its just for 1 day. Be a shame to go all that way and not leave the resort atleast once, even if its just to give the body a break lol
If your there for 2 weeks your liver will thank you there are links at the bottom of the page for tours
If you are thinking about doing the jetski safari, I would say do it. If it is the tour where you drive a jet ski through the ''jungle'' and then out to snorkel, and then drive the jet ski back, that is a fun tour. Not worth the $75 a person, but it is definitely fun. We used to do all of those tours back in the day, Jungle Tour, Captain Hook Cruise, Booze Cruise, but prefer to spend all of our time at the resort now. Also, I wouldn't book through your travel provider until you check out the prices offered through this site and see how they compare.
