An easy flight down on SunWing, out of Toronto. Airport was cleared quickly and within an hour of landing we were at the resort (ground transportation was included in the package). Hotel registration was simple, being a credit card swipe and documentation check. So began a good week.

Resort
The resort was neat, tidy, well maintained. A beautiful desert garden opens south towards the pool area and the beach. Our room was ready and well equipped. Everything was working just fine. A huge comfortable bed, plenty of storage space, a mini-fridge and good size balcony.

Food
The main buffet restaurant served excellent breakfasts, with a skilled chef at the hot plate who cooked eggs etc. to order. She took great pride in her work. Dinner here was good also. The pool-side bar /restaurant did us a number of excellent a la carte meals on two different evenings. The Asian restaurant also prepared a couple of excellent a la carte dinners. Lunch beside the pool was buffet style, with salads, hot plate offerings (fish, chicken, burgers etc) and hot sides (fries, onion rings etc.). Lots of spicy Mexican salsa and tacos, to be washed down with great beer. We never went hungry.

Bar
There seemed to be a bar open anytime we looked. Service was generally swift, friendly, and competent. Some guests feel the need to tip lavishly and slavishly. The rest of us received similarly good attention.

Entertainment
From about 10:00 am to late afternoon there was usually an ‘activity’ of some sort. Volleyball (wet and dry) was very popular. Other activities included, horseshoes, bocce ball, air rifle shooting, beanbag toss (corn holing), bingo — and tame semi erotic games.
Evening entertainment was outside (even when it was cool) with live music (excellent), karaoke, games, pole dancing and the ‘famous’ (only mildly exciting) lick chocolate off a semi naked woman activity. Not exactly Desire or Hedo body shots, but a passable try!
Friday there was a hot tub party to which outsiders were invited. It was not a party but a disco video dance to ‘urban’ music. Mainly young people on the make. Significantly at the same time guests were invited into Cabo for side trips to reals discos. No hot tub activity. Boring!

Staff
Many of the staff we had met a few years ago. This speaks well of the resort’s management in that they keep good staff. Everyone we met was proud of the resort and the work they did (wait staff, room maids, gardeners, bar help etc.) A very friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately, the expectation of increasingly affluent tipping is degrading the concept of all inclusive. C’est la vie.

Overall
Think of Temptation Cabo as lifestyle-light training camp. Nothing much overt. Topless was more incidental than the norm More mature women tended to be topless than the younger ones. No nudity! A few people were reported to be totally naked at the roof-top hot tub after midnight — but since it was generally rather cool up there the atmosphere was more goose bumps and shivers than anything else. We met at least one couple who’s ventures into active lifestyle was ruined by a clumsy approach and way too much booze. Trying to drown in the hot tub is not cool to watch.
A good vacation. A nice mix of people (60% Canadian, 30% US, 10% other — my guess) and a good spread of ages. As often, the more mature enjoying themselves to the max.
