Hey Everyone, We have been wanting to leave a trip report, but boy has real life kicked our a$$ here lately! Finally got work and responsibilities straightened out, so here we go. ****Disclaimer: For the first time goers, at least read the last 3 paragraphs. I will talk about being topless there along with my opinion of the people we met from the site and swinging/swapping put to rest.******* First and foremost, nothing in Cancun is free. Even when the hotel wants to "Show you what TTR has to offer." It is a Time Share tour. I'm not saying don't do it, but just be warned. Kelly and I took the tour and walked away with $80 (cash; not just a voucher) and a cool looking TTR bottle of Tequila. I'm sure the Tequila isn't high quality, but for a 2 hour investment.... not too bad. So we robbed ourselves of a couple of days just because of the flights that were offered and we had to take. We arrived late on May 5th happened to be "lingerie" night for TTR. We figured we would check in, get a bight to eat, change and participate. However, it only lasted until 10pm, so we completely missed the whole thing. We went to Patty O's and just mingled a bit meeting some nice people, who had never heard of this site or forum. We were completely impressed that we left home needing a jacket in the evening time to now sitting in an open area in shorts and a dress. Awesome! The next morning we went on the Time Share tour. A little pushy, but not bad. Of course, they start with the best deal and work their way down with options fitting every budget. So, if you decide this is something you would like, word of advice: Ask for the world! Really! I was asking for everything under the sun in the "more affordable budget" range and was getting just about everything I was asking for. LOL. After the tour, we ventured over to the Sexy pool. Now, understand, Kelly and I are a very shy couple, so we have to take things slow. For half the morning we relaxed, enjoyed ourselves, and watched for people we recognized from the forum. After a couple of drinks we decided to start chatting with some people. I won't describe what all was going on, because it was one of those "have to have been there" type things. Everyone was having a lot of good clean fun and may have had a drink or 10 more than we had.... lol. The rest of the day was great and everyone made Kelly and I feel welcomed. Later that evening, we were invited to go off site to celebrate a birthday. We did go with about 10 other couples or so. We went to a place called Carlos and Charlie's. That was freaking awesome, and what a fun night. We did go to a bar across the street for a few hours after. Now, I'm not sure how it happened, but we did get lost on a one way street! What fun! Really! Now, the next few days and evening all went about the same. Woke up to a beautiful morning, ate breakfast, went to the pool, mingled, had fun, kept drinking to moderate (during the day), ate lunch, closed the pool, took a nap, got ready to go out, and partied! Sounds boring, but not one bit what so ever! We hardly had the same conversations with people, everyone was interesting, polite, and pleasant to be around! We did check out Chichen Itza. It was a cool trip. A very, very, long day, but good! We wouldn't do it again, but would advise others to do it once. I knew it was going to be a very long bus ride, and I'm not sure why I was thinking this, but I was thinking the bus was going to be a rusted old school bus with lots of chickens on board. Now, before anyone says I'm being racist or anything, I'm Mexican! The bus was a really nice charter bus with very cushy seats and service of pastries and drinks provided. The ride was right at 3hrs ONE way. But, very interesting to say the least. The restaurants at the hotel are very good. I know some people have hated on them, but we didn't find a dish we didn't like. The only issue we had was when Kelly would get out of the pool to go back or into the hotel, she would put on this slip on dress type thing. And of course, since her bikini was wet, it would get this dress wet. Now during lunch at either the TexMex or Buffet place, no issue being wet. However during "dinner" then there was an issue. They would not let her sit until she changed or we could take our food to go! Not really that big of an issue, but that was the only issue we had. Just as a reminder, Kelly and I are very shy people. So the idea of topless did intimidate her a little. Here's the truth about topless from our perspective... We made a much bigger deal of it than what it really was! Really when you read or hear "No one knows you and No one gives a sh!t." Well, guess what, it's true. A lot of women of all sizes and shapes where topless and just as many were not. It's a comfort thing. And as a guy who really likes boobs, I found myself asking "I wonder how she looks with her top on?" Really, it was/is not a big deal at all. I know I am typing this and someone is saying "What does this GUY know?" But, this is from my wife's point of view. Feel free to be yourself and enjoy yourself. Especially for the first timers going remember this: No one has a perfect body, everyone at TTR has a flaw or two, yes, there are a couple of really nice figures and shapes, but they are the minority, and finally, self confidence is one of the most attractive qualities one could have! Finally, my opinion of the people we met with particular to this site.... We completely credit the great amount of fun we had to this site and the people we met on this site. We did meet a lot of people that had never heard of this site, and they were cool too. But something about being part of the "group" was really cool. Being shy people, to just be able to go up to people is one thing. But, because we did start some of the chatting at home, we simply had to put faces to the names and continue from there. This was the most fun Kelly and I had ever had and are already planning on returning next May. (That is if we are welcomed back.) To all of the people we met, thank you. :icon_biggrin: I would like to offer putting the topic of Sex in public, swinging, and being asked every second of the day to swap, and etc to rest ...... everyone is respectful. There was no public displays of sexual acts, and we were never asked to swap or anything like that in inappropriate manners. Now, I am not saying that if the mood and evening isn't working really well, there won't be suggestion of continuing the evening in private. All I'm saying is that the up in your face stuff doesn't or didn't happen. (Hmmm hope it wasn't because people found/find us unattractive.)
To Support Your "No Requests From Other Couples" We were down there 7 days/nights and also didn't get hit on, suggested or hinted in anyway by any couples. We did have the male of a same age couple show alot of interest in my wife by saving chairs at the quiet pool for us, quoting poems to her and getting us drinks, which the wife thought was cute but after a few days a bit creepy while his wife stayed to herself down by the beach. Thats about as "swing/swap" we experianced firsthand. A young couple who I talked to in thier mid 20s did get suggestions from other couples a few times during thier week, but a simple no was all that was needed. I laughed while talking to the young fellow about the hazzards of having such a pretty young sweetheart, which he agreed. I think the swinger rep comes from TTR being host of large but few swinger group weeks. Isku
Love the trip report. Glad you saw Temptations for what it is a great place to meet people whether you are shy or not.
Your report was very well stated. At least it is how my wife and I have always felt after ourl 6 visits to TTR/BBG. Thanks for the report and maybe we'll see you on one our trips.
