Trip report, October 29-November 9, 2010, first time to Temptations Left lake for St. Louis on 28th, stayed at a park and fly for 6 am departure on 29th. Shuttle driver was late, afraid we might miss flight, finally got to airport. Off to Miami with 2 hour layover. Arrived at Cancun at 12:30. Pam’s checked baggage did not arrive with us. Two hours later were told baggage missed transfer in Miami and would arrive on 9 PM flight and be delivered to hotel later. American Airlines at its best. Finally arrived at temptations, checked in immediately, could not get away from sales team and made appointment for welcome breakfast tomorrow. Away to room, view sucked, got room changed to 2212, looked on the Sexy Pool and door next to stairs Paty’o’s. Saturday, Oct 30, lost bag was at bell station, bag damaged and contents messed up, Pam had some costume jewelry for costumes in bag and was missing, at least Halloween costumes were there. Went to pool and met some of the folks from the board. Pam met Angie, she did piercings and henna tattoos at beach and got belly button pierced. Then to eat and to paty’0’s, glow party. Pam wore a lighted fairy costume and brought some glow sticks. Had great time with folks we met there, closed down paty’o’s. Did not make appointment with sales staff, they called room and left several messages and note on door, managed to avoid them. Saw a fight at bar, staff and friends broke it up quickly, only disturbance the whole trip. Sunday, Oct 31, up early, reserved pool chairs, ate breakfast, omelets great. Made reservations at Italian restaurant. Partied for a while and had to take a field trip to Wal-mart, bus trip was an experience. Watched Iron man contest, drank too much tequila. Finally made it to room to change for supper and then to Halloween party. Food great at restaurant, had sexy coffee. Nurse brought Halloween party beads; Pam wore Scottish Wench costume and wore my kilt (911 memorial tartan), met still more great people, saw another with kilt, Irish, named O’Brian, shared scotch with him and partied through the evening. Got in costume contest, winner was guy in female lifeguard costume. Lot of great costumes. Had late night cheeseburgers and fries. Monday, Nov 1, up late 07:00, reserved pool chairs, ate at buffet, planned future excursions, to pool. Mr. Temptations contests under way. Final round scores were by how many women’s swimsuit tops and bottoms they could get. Partied with one contestant from Alberta the night before. Pam donated top to him. For the girls to reclaim suits they had to get out of pool at the Jacuzzi tub end. Booked trip to Isla Mujeres. Cozumel, ½ day snorkel trip and dinner cruise on Capitan Hook at Best Day. Supper at the Wok, great, to paty’0’s. Tired and went to room early. Tuesday, Nov 2, up early, reserved pool chairs, ate and away at 10:00 for catamaran to Isla Mujeres, adult trip, plenty of booze, crazy bunch from New York provided entertainment, snorkeled, shopped at Isla, had lunch with unlimited drinks, and swam with shark at Isla. Back to boat, more drinks, tequila shots, tried spinnaker rides but not enough wind, back to TTR. Hung out at pool, late supper at Wok (outstanding food and service). Wandered around resort and to room. Wednesday, Nov 3, Trip to Cozumel today, shuttle at 07:30 to Aqua World, then bus to ferry dock, ferry to Cozumel then to Aqua World dock, boat to reef and snorkel, lunch and managed to meet up with son and his fiancée and one of my firefighters and his girlfriend (they were on a cruise and their ship was at Cozumel). Shopped at Cozumel, boarded ferry and back to Cancun, got in late and shuttle took up back to Temptations. Ate steaks at Margaritas. Thursday, Nov 4, ½ day snorkel trip to Federal Park with Morning Glory Snorkel Tours. Beautiful reef, lots of marine life, outstanding excursion, lunch and drinks, back to shuttle and to Temptations. Back at pool, WAY TOO much to drink, Pam let the puppies out, I met O’Brian and he asked where flask of Scotch was, got it, BIG MISTAKE, note: Tequila and Scotch does not mix well, we all got wasted. Went back to room for rest break, woke from drunken stupor around midnight, Crap missed casino night. Friday, Nov 5, up early, reserved pool chairs, ate breakfast, spent day at pool and beach, and had reservations for Capitan Hook tonight. Took short trip across road for shopping and back to resort. Lots of fun at pool. Dinner cruise great, had steak and watched pirates fight. Saturday, Nov 6, up early, reserved pool chairs, ate breakfast, and took taxi to Wet and Wild Water Park to swim with dolphins. Best excursion of trip. Took bus back to Temptations. Partied at pool, ate at Italian restaurant, did not have reservations but they had cancellation and got us in. Party at Paty’o’s. Sunday, Nov 7, up early, reserved pool chairs, ate, watched Iron Woman contest, good show, played musical cartoon trivia, did not win. Hopped bus for shopping near Congo Bongo, and back to resort. Went to nice shoes for Dare to be Tempted, laughed so hard almost pi**** myself. Then to Paty’o’s. Monday, Nov 8, last full day, early flight tomorrow. Up early, ate and to sexy pool. Later decided to go to Dolphin Beach, took bus, beautiful water and fair surf. Did tandem Parasail there and back to Temptations. Too much booze at pool, group put on good show at pool. Went to eat supper and party, then to room to pack for leaving tomorrow. Tuesday, Nov 9, not much sleep, need to meet shuttle at 04:45 to airport, got up fine, finished packing, fell back to sleep and almost missed shuttle. Finally boarded and to Miami, 4 hour layover there and then to St. Louis, four hour drive home. Few showers, lasted only a few minutes, some clouds, cool when sun behind clouds, weather did not hamper fun. The trip was great, already making plans for next year to come back to Temptations. The resort was beautiful, the staff was outstanding. Chino, Amy, Stacy and the rest of the cast was a hoot. And thank to all the great people we met and made friends with, there is some booze induced memory loss so if I missed anyone do not take offense, some of the great folks were: I will use screen names, I am terrible with names anyway: Moverbob, Sexinvegas, Richven, JofAz, Aragincajin, Nuttyrat, Charmergirl, Dizzyblonde51, Bobette3899, Alnann. great trip report...sounds like u guys went on a lot of excursions and did a lot...enjoyed meeting and hanging with both of you....till next year,hope to see you both again....charlene

Man- looks like you had a great week! Glad we got to spent part of it with you! Hope we hook up again next October for Halloween and I can share that scotch with you again- thanks for the "nip" you gave me at least once... Ken and Joyce
Wow!! Smokey, how the H*** did you remember all that! Great job, great trip report. Still trying to put pieces together to write one. Hopefully we can all do it again next year. We, along with Rdangel, are contemplating returning in May. Take care! Kathie&John!
