Wow, where to start. We were excited but apprehensive about our first time there. I read TONS of reviews and some made me so nervous we almost switched hotels days before......HOWEVER....I'm so glad we didn't! Our check in process was quick and easy. They initially gave us a room on the 4th floor which actually seemed like 5th floor since it was in an elevated area. That was NOT gonna work! I would have to be staggering UP 4 flights of stairs. I think not! I asked politely for a room change and was given two other options to choose from. We chose the 2nd floor option and they even offered to move our bags. Very nice of them. Room was a bit smaller but they told me that in advance. No biggie. I had read there was a musty smell and the AC's weren't the best. I brought candles just in case but we smelled NOTHING, EVER! The AC was so cold my husband joked because every time we entered the room, I said, "Brrrr it's cold in here!". The maid, Rosa was wonderful! We are really good at wrecking a room, (not vandalism, just a holy mess) and she fixed it every single day. I felt really bad about it too, and twice I just asked for water and towels and when we returned it was all neat and tidy. We tipped her well! The staff works soooo hard to keep everything as nice as it can be. It's about 1000% humidity so I would imagine it is very hard to control the mold/mildew but they sure try. I thought the food was wonderful. The made to order omelet's were just fantastic. A lot of choices at several different locations. The sexy pool was just a blast. The party games and activities were great! Just get in there and enjoy the hell out of it. I was very worried about the whole toplessness thing and nudity. Believe me, it really becomes no big deal. A lot of people did end up naked during the party games but bottoms gotto go back on when the game is over. Security keeps a close eye on things and will put a stop to things if it gets to raunchy. We saw them step in a few times but for the most part, it was just a bunch of overgrown teenagers enjoying a midlife spring break. The rules are clearly displayed. First of which being, "no means no" and "no public sex". All in all, it was great! We met great friends who were great sports, (Pete and D from England. Poor Pete got stripped of his clothes and dressed as a woman in about 1 minutes time before he even knew what was happening all so I could win a game....which I lost Thanks anyway Pete for being such a good sport! We will return!!
I bet you are looking into dates for next trip!!!!! Thanks for the report. Like they say...no other place like it (for now..wink wink)
Great trip report! I am really great at wrecking a room too, especially the bed even when I am sleeping alone. My best friend loves to document how tangled I can make sheets. God that sounds way more dirty than it is. My niece is grand champion of the messy hotel room after day one in Vegas last year I couldn't see the floor on her side of the room for clothes.
