Alright, I know this is about a month late but coming back from paradise is never easy….. This is a quick update for those of you who spent all of 2009 supporting the various girls and voting online. Thank you for sending some of those votes my way. I completely credit the people on Cancuncare.com with my winning the monthly competition in May and owe all of you a round of drinks on me! Day 1: Travel day. Not much to report other than Jose came and met myself and Miss. February at the airport in a Hummer. What a way to make an entrance. Boy and I were at the resort for less than 10 minutes when we saw Juan from the Italian restaurant walking by. Not only did he recognize us from our last trip, but he ran off only to return with apple martinis for the both of us. All of the girls were in the Jacuzzi rooms around the quiet pool and we had the joy of finding a bottle of champagne to welcome us to the resort. I love Temptations! Day 2: Woke up excited to start the competition. All the girls had an opportunity to meet each other out by the sexy pool. Surprisingly, we all got along. Everyone had anticipated that we would not like each other at all and would be extremely bitchy. I should have known that these girls would be cool. How else do they get the cheers at the pool? (oh, I guess showing some skin helps too!) We had no obligations so we made sure to taste test the tequila. Looong night. Day 3: Press Conference. They lined us up in Nice Shoes for some Q&A. Mostly talking about where we are from, how we like Temptations, and how the competition was going so far. Day 4: Photo Shoot Day. The only major sacrifice of the week was being ready for hair and makeup at 6:30am. Five hours later we were given our suits and headed onto a catamaran to do our photo shoots for the calendar. What amazing service. The hair and makeup people were extremely attentive, and never having been in a photo shoot before, I was completely at ease with the shoot. We did pictures on the boat and on a dock over at Isla Mujheres but canceled the shots on the beach due to weather. Day 5: Swimsuit competition by the pool. A combination of judges including the CEO of the company and Vice President of the company were to determine the winner so the pressure was on to have a great competition. Thank you to everyone by the pool who cheered us all on. Day 6: The FINALE!! All day long we watched as the Temptations team built a stage out over the Sports Pool. I was not nervous until I found out that some of the prime position seats were being sold to the guests. The cool thing about these girls was how much fun they were. Most of us ended up getting ready together including lending each other lingerie, makeup, and advice. The bottles of champagne were popped and by the time the show started, we looked hot. They brought out professional dancers in between our segments and it was a really cool event. In pairs, we came out in lingerie and danced on the stripper poles. Then we had a quick costume change and had our interview section. In the end though, Miss. February took home the title. She won $1,000 as well as a return trip next January. Pressure off, we headed out to Daddy O’s to celebrate. Day 7: Free day. We all slept off our hangovers and drank some more. I really do love TTR. Day 8: Farewell dinner. When we got back from a day at the pool, we found a rose and a note inviting us to a farewell dinner out on the beach. Lobster tails and steaks. I cannot complain. Day 9: Early morning as we headed out of town. A couple of things to note: · Once again, I am completely impressed by all the staff here. They not only treated us like queens, but they took great care of our dates. (The dates were continually saying that they were the real winners here). The service we have received in our trips to TTR is at a level I have never experienced before. · Great food. We ate at almost all of the restaurants and Boy managed to eat his weight in crab at the buffet one night. I personally am partial to the fresh made omelets. · A huge Thank You to Mario for coordinating the event. He did a great job of taking care of any needs we had during the competition sections and organizing all of the different elements of our event. · Although I would have loved to win, meeting these other girls (and their friends/ boyfriends/husbands) was amazing. We had a great time. · Finally, we had a great opportunity to see a few other people who were there back when I won in May. There is nothing better than the people you meet at TTR. Overall, the trip of a lifetime! Now how are we going to top this one?!
I know right! Then I came back to "the real world" and had to go back to work. I really need to become famous.
