My wife and I just got back from our first trip to Temptations, and let me say WOW!! We had a great time!! We booked it online through Expedia and basically picked it because of the price and NO KIDS! After we booked it we began reading reviews from various websites saying that it was a "swingers resort." This kind of made us nervous because we are not into that, but are open minded and do not care what people do behind closed doors. Then after finding Cancuncare and reading the trip reports, we began feeling more at ease. I wish we would have posted on Cancuncare before we went down, but we still had no problem meeting people, everyone at the resort is very friendly and there to have a good time and no one is there trying to persuade you into "swinging" I am sure we talked to some "swingers" but everyone was respectful. I'll try my best to break this down, sorry if it gets too long, I know I loved reading these before I went though. Check In: We landed in Cancun around 2pm got our bags and made it through customs in about 30 minutes, I think Tuesday afternoon is a pretty slow day at the airport which made this process easier, no lines at all for customs. We had a transfer with BestDay travel to the resort, we had to wait about 30 minutes for the shuttle to leave and we were also the last ones to get dropped off, but only about 45 minutes to the resort. When we checked in, I saw the timeshare people lurking behind us and warned my wife that is what they were, so when they came up to us she blurts out "are you trying to sell us a timeshare?" The guy says "of course not, just trying to tell you about the resort" So I tell him that read about them online and that I will be able to figure the resort out on my own and that we want to get started on our vacation. He reluctantly finds our name on his list and checks us off, and we were on our way. (another couple we met later in the week sat through the speech, said no, and got $50 to use on an excursion from the resort) Room 5221: We got to our room 5221 (originally it was overlooking the sexy pool but we heard that could get loud so they changed it for us), it was on the second floor, view was of a wall (we didn't care, we didn't come to sit in our room), the shower was cool - two shower heads and a window that you can see in from the bedroom, everything else was nice, sexy lights over bed and night stand were sweet, had a makeup mirror for wife in bathroom, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and safe was free to use, fridge had 2 Dos XX cans, 2 Cokes, 1 Coke Zero, and 1 V8 can. There was a liter bottle of water next to the fridge, all get replaced every day if you drink them. I drank the water from the sink in the bathroom and didn't get sick, actually neither of us got sick at all the entire trip. Sink water did taste like crap though. No ice machine, just go to any bar and they will fill up your ice bucket, then we would put the whole bucket in the fridge and the ice would last a day or two. Then we got upgraded to a Jacuzzi suite 1120, the room was the same size, shower was just a single, but had a Jacuzzi on the patio that overlooked the quite pool, unfortunately was next to hallway for "nice shoes" and could get loud at night. Jacuzzi took long to fill up and we only used it twice, but it was a free upgrade so we can't complain. Beach: The beach itself is nice, lots of chairs, beds, sand is clean. However water is full of seaweed, but they try to keep up with it the best they can. Water sports: We took the free lessons on the Hobie Cat (a small catamaran sail boat) and wind surfing. Once you take the free lesson they let you take them out as much as you want. The Hobie Cat was awesome and very relaxing, I would steer us around while my wife laid out in the front, my first time sailing and was surprisingly very easy to figure out, they let us go as far out and to the right of the resort as we wanted, to the left they said was a channel and didn't want us to go that way. The wind surfing was fun, but a little more challenging, we both got the hang of it though, just takes some balance. Sexy Pool: Awesome time, Chinos, Amy, and Stephanie did a great job keeping everything going. My wife was worried about being uncomfortable because she doesn't go topless, but was fine after we got there. Depending on the time of day about half the pool was topless, but it doesn't matter one way or the other, no one makes you feel uncomfortable. Definitely get involved with the activities. My wife competed in the Miss Temptation contest (which she posted about on here already) and WON! This was awesome because she is typically very shy and this was amazing seeing her work a stripper pole, fake an orgasm, and get a whole pile of swim trunks (I, on the other hand, felt a little weird standing butt ass naked next to a whole bunch of other naked dudes) So if you get the chance please go to Miss Temptation Contest! and vote for her to win Miss July!!! We also did the couples competition, I competed in beer pong and Yana did a beer chugging competition. Quite Pool: Did not spend any time here but it did look nice. Restaurants: I was able to make reservations on Wednesday morning for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, but Yana won Miss Temptation on Wednesday and that gave us a free pass to any restaurant any time, which was incredible. So we ended up taking our friends that we met down there because they had troubles getting reservations. Every restaurant was excellent, I gained 12 lbs while there. The Lamb T-bone from the Italian was probably my favorite, and just like everyone else says, you have to get a sexy coffee from the Italian. lingerie/casino Night: Yana was a little scared about this, so rather than going sexy we went more the funny route (even though Yana still looked damn sexy to me) I wore my old Army underwear that they gave me in basic training that was some brown "tighty whiteys" that I could hike up past my belly button and held in place with some suspenders, and stuffed with a hand towel. Yana had some cute panties and also some matching suspenders and then we both wore a white undershirt tank top. I looked like a dork, but she pulled it off well. As far as the casino games went, we just played black jack, I lost my chips, but Yana won. So then at the end (it only lasts a about 30 minutes) they have an auction of stuff they got from local clubs (t-shirts, mugs, hats, etc from Coco bongos, Daddyo's etc) nothing super nice but still something if you end up winning. Then afterwards the group we were hanging out with stayed and ended up pulling out the stripper pools and dancing on them all night. It was a blast, we were there the same night CDcalpoly was there that they wrote about in their trip report. They are an awesome couple and we spent most of our time with them and some other younger couples that we met (we are in our late twenties) Excursions: Booze Cruise- We went on the booze cruise through the resort (wish we could have gotten Steve to take us on one) it was fun, Carlos and Charlies got a little crazy, they had some balloon animal guys there that made some strap on penis's for the girls (they really seemed to like having sword fights with them) Parasailing- went with the guys to the right of the resort on the beach, no reservations and walked right up and got us on in about 15 minutes, $40 a person, it was cool, our first time and they get you up pretty high, great view Isla Mujeres- went over on the ferry- $15 a person round trip, rented a golf cart that seats four with CDcalpoly for $45 from 9-5pm, drove all the way around the island, south point had a cool bar that we had a beer at while looking out over a bluff to the ocean. Saw lots and lots of iguanas. Then went to the north beach and swam, then dropped off the ladies to shop while the guys drove around in the golf cart some more. Hot stone couples massage through spa at temptations: would have cost $178 but Miss Temptation won this for us, it was awesome (sorry no happy endings, wife had to do that once back to the room), my first full body massage, not sure if I would pay $178 but free was nice. Temptation Yacht: On our last day a cool couple from New York who were members invited us to go on the Temptation yacht with them and two other couples. $50 a person, 1-5pm open bar and food, drove through lagoon, and out to Isla Mujeres to swim. It was awesome, really made us feel like millionaires for the day, definitely go if you get a chance. I think this is about everything, sorry it was so long, basically wanted to write it as a journal for myself to keep, hopefully this helps out some people. We had a blast and met some really great people and cannot wait to go back, (hopefully sooner than later if Yana gets enough votes for Miss July!)
Thanks for the detailed trip report, sounds like you had a great time. Not sure why the link to the Miss Temptation site didnt parse properly, but this one works: Anyone who posts such a detailed trip report is worthy to join the other 3 or 4 winners we have from here so far this year. So, Vote for Yana!
BUDDY!!!! We miss you guys already. We are so glad we met you guys and hopefully you two can make a trip to Nor Cal for Lake Tahoe or San Fran. Def show you two a good time on the West Coast. We had a great time with you guys every night and on theme nights. We still think you took lessons for that stripper pole, lol. Great TR and good luck in the contest. Keep an eye on the forum as we definitely need to have a STL area cancuncare party sometime soon. There are several of us in the STL area, and getting together sounds like a blast.
Great TR. Glad you had a blast. We have been seven times and working on number Eight, everyone was in May, which I think April and May are the best times to go. Don and Pam
