So as the reality of being back to work/school slowly kicks in, we thought we would recap our amazing week in Cancun and give you a little taste of our memorable experience at Temptation Resort. We arrived in Cancun after a smooth, early morning flight from Toronto and found our shuttle to the resort with ease. Unfortunately, many of the airport workers can be pushy and try to take your luggage to the shuttle for you. You may think they are just being nice, until they stand there with their hands open and wait for a tip. We learned this after our first trip to Mexico, so politely said “No Thanks” and went on our way. Since we arrived at Temptation at 10am, our room was not ready until mid afternoon. The hotel will store your luggage until you officially check into your room, so we headed to Margaritas for a bite before hopping on the bus to Walmart. The bus stop is right beside the resort and is less than $1 US a person. The ride to Walmart is only about ten minutes and the driver will tell you when to get off. We find a Walmart trip is always great at the beginning of the trip so we can stock up on Gatorade, snacks, and wine. Gatorade before bed is definitely our hangover cure... gotta stay hydrated. Our ground floor room was beautiful with a King sized bed and a balcony looking onto the quiet pool. We were also lucky enough to have a Jacuzzi on the balcony, which was so nice at the end of the night and large enough to share with company . Monday night we headed off to Coco Bongos for an entertaining night out. Having been to Senor Frogs last time and left disappointed, we agreed that Coco Bongos was definitely a better bang for your buck. It was a 4 hour show with great music, great actors, dancers, and acrobats, and overall was one amazing party that everyone should check out at least once. Each morning we headed to the sexy pool to work on our tan and to meet more outgoing people. Sometimes it can be challenging to find lounge chairs in the morning, so we try to put our towels out right before bed. We brought our own cheap towels from home, so if someone steals them it’s not the end of the world, plus they stand out from the red ones that the resort gives you. The event staff do an excellent job of organizing activities during the day at the sexy pool, along with a variety of sports on the beach and in the sports pool. They are all extremely approachable and try to get everyone involved. I was talked into signing up for the girls’ arm wrestling competition which was a great way to overcome any nerves and a good ice breaker for meeting new people. It was a battle of the countries and the crowd cheered the contestants on from the pool. All in all, I had tons of fun and showed Canada proud. Other competitions that were held during the week included ping pong, darts, iron man and woman, sexy couple contest, beach volleyball tournament, music, sex, and sports trivia, Temptation Idol, Mr. Temptation, and the crazy cocktail contest. Wednesday morning we got up nice and early and headed to the sexy pool for the weekly Miss Temptation contest. After overcoming a ton of nerves and a few tequila poppers (haha) I found the confidence to get up there and show off my questionably sexy moves. The Temptation slogan, “Nobody knows you and nobody gives a shit!” is such an encouraging motto and definitely helped me get through the competition. For a shy, small town girl, I was pretty proud of myself for being so outgoing and overcoming my fears. Thanks to the amazing friends we met during our stay, I am proud to say that I took the Miss Temptation title for the week and am up for the month of August in the online voting. That being said, any votes would be greatly appreciated (just go to www.misstemptation.com, my name is Jenn), so thank you in advance J The restaurants at the resort are always delicious and it’s difficult to choose a favourite. The service is always great and the servers ensure that everyone has a great evening of fabulous food and beverages. This trip we discovered the sexy coffee which is an incredible show in addition to a tasty drink. The servers use fancy liqueurs and flames to create this coffee and it is definitely a show that you cannot miss. We luckily had the opportunity to take advantage of the hot rock couples massage at the Temptation Spa. The service and hospitality were amazing and they truly made you feel relaxed and on vacation. The massage was fantastic with well experienced therapists and the atmosphere and music helped relieve any remaining tension. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the pedicure I received at the Glamour salon as it was very basic and the service was impersonal. There was little attention to comfort level of the client, as I sat awkwardly in one of the manicure chairs, and the foot bath was small and quite cheap. For those interested in the salon, I would not recommend it. Overall, this was another amazing trip and we will 100% go back to Temptation Resort. After visiting for the first time in April 2010, we couldn’t wait an entire year before returning. There is no place like it and it is the perfect location to let loose, make friends, be confident with your body, and not worry about families and children. Nice report, great pics. Congrats on Miss Temptation for the week. For more publicity you should start a new thread here and also post a plea for votes on the cancuncare facebook page which has almost 1000 members. If you have a facebook account the link to the group is at the very top right of the forum. A plea there will end up on each members own facebook page which in turn will be seen by many more people. I think we already have 4 or 5 forum member winners from the first 7 months, it would be good to have even more.
