I will be posting our trip to Temptation on here day by day. I will be posting a lot am sorry in advance if it's a pain to read, but I am keeping this so I also want to try to remember my trip. It might get fuzzy at times but I hope you all enjoy. Here is the first day.....
April 8th, 2010 Well low and behold we are finally landing in Cancun! We instantly feel the difference in climate when stepping off the plane and are grinning from ear to ear! As soon as we get off the plane we are told that we didn’t feel out the bottom section of the customs form they hand out to you and we are told to complete it before continuing. That bottom section is extremely important because they require you to have it on your way back or else you will end up paying a $50 charge and get stuck in this long declarations line before you can start the process of coming home. Luckily I kept those bottom stubs and it was fine. Anyway, we used Best Day transfers to get to our room via shuttle. At first I was a little upset because we were waiting by our shuttle for longer than I had wanted but come to find out, they were waiting for more Temptation people to arrive so we didn’t have to make multiple stops to different hotels, so it made sense…….. we were just extremely anxious to party! I’d say we waited there for about 20-30 minutes. I didn’t like it but it was a great price, and then again, it could always be worse so I was happy we were on our way. The shuttle driver was way cool and funny so we were in the mood to kick everything off by then. We got to our room and check in was a breeze. I was a little shocked that they never asked for any kind of ID at the hotel check in. They just asked us our last names and starting handing out our bracelets. Not only that, but they gave us 1st floor rooms with Jacuzzi’s in them! With no upgrade cost or anything from us, they just said we had complimentary upgrades. WOW! What a plus. Mmmmm where’s my beer??? Well, we had to go look for that immediately. We were in our street clothes w/ jeans heading right for the sexy pool to grab a cocktail and find our other half of our party. They were in the pool waving at us and we said our hello’s, finished our beer, and went to our rooms. The rooms were fantastic! Clean, nice looking, nice Jacuzzi, and size of room was just fine. I started to feel a slight sore throat coming on and was really scared I was going to have a cold on my vacation! I laid on the bed, relaxed and told myself that was NOT going to happen…………….then I hopped up and grabbed my wife and headed for dinner at Margaritas for the Tex Mex. The Tex Mex food was average at best. Actually I was not excited about a lot of the food there but was expecting that. I have been to Mexico numerous times and other than the seafood (which was amazing), their “land food” has always been bland to me. It never bothers me though. It is another country with different culture, tastes, ways of processing and shipping food, cooking, traditions, etc….. and believe me, Mexican food in the states is completely different from Mexican food in Mexico! It wasn’t awful, just bland usually. Well, we finished dinner and headed to lingerie/casino night. I in my baby blue satin pajama bottoms and my wife in her black see though gown. Immediately the party was great fun. We started playing table games and I tried to get my wife to play topless blackjack but since it was our first night there, she wasn’t ready to go topless quite yet (but that would change!) It was a blast and kinda was expecting it to be. However, the only knock that I would have on it was that it was way too short. Wish it would have lasted longer but that’s ok because immediately following that, they had a live bar at Patty O’s and they were really good. However, I started to feel my sore throat coming on again and I started not to feel good at all so I had to call it an early night. I decided to go to bed early so I could hit the pool the next day in great shape hopefully. As it turns out, it was the smart move. I’ll tell you why tomorrow……
