We had an uneventful flight, arriving on time and flying through customs, immigration and out to our private transfer with Cape-Travel within 30 minutes. More on the disappointment of the transfer later. We had several cocktails on the flight, and grabbed a couple of beers for the ride to Temptations. Check-in was fast, it was 2:20pm when we arrived, but were told our room wasn't ready. Ironically, after we refused the time-share breakfast, our room was magically ours. Unpacked quickly and headed down to the pool. It was extremely warm and humid, but were very happy with that versus chilly and rain. Drinks at the pool and new friends immediately. Everyone else had been partying all day, so we walked into quite a fun time :clappyinghappy:. We made plans for dinner with our new friends, Suki was the only place open that night. At the main bar, we picked up a few more friends that came along for dinner. The food at Suki was questionable. It wasn't horrible, the chicken skewers were very good. Having had a long day starting out at 1am Los Cabos time, we were in bed fairly early. Up the next day at 6am, enjoyed breakfast - the fresh fruit was sooooo good - and hit the pool. Party, shots, friends from the night before as well as new ones. We tried to play sand volleyball, but only 3 guests plus 2 ECs made it too difficult so it didn't last long. Hit the hot tub at about 5pm for a while before getting ready for dinner. They only had one restaurant open each night due to the low occupancy, tonight it was Italian by the pool. Vegetable Lasagna was very good. That night was Chocolate night at the bar, and I was asked to be the Chocolate Girl. Of course, duh. It was fun, I laid on a table while a chef poured chocolate on me, topped with whipped cream and marshmallows. At the end, the crowd came up and licked everything off. It was a great time, unforgettable! Went and showered the rest of the chocolate off and back to the bar for dancing. We tried to sneak into the pool later that night since it was so hot, but were stopped halfway in by security. Oops. Dave slept in the next morning, I was on the beach at 6am watching the sunrise and had breakfast. He got up, we hit the pool, wash rinse and repeat from the day before. You'll find a theme here. Dinner that night was ala cart Mexican at the place breakfast is found. Nothing really tickled us, so I ordered the lobster and filet, Dave had the ribeye. Both excellent. Down to the bar for Retro night, and after a bit Dave decided to go put his retro costume on. He was hilarious, the only one besides the ECs dressed in costume. Ceasar went and got another guy in our group a wig to wear, he was a great sport and did it. We were asked to be in the couples contest. Of course, duh. Sooooo much fun, I laughed so hard I cried. More dancing and great times late into the night. Wash, rinse, repeat. Breakfast, pool, meet friends for dinner. Suki again tonight, Dave ordered the ribeye again and I had the Lobster again. Dave was exhausted and J didn't feel well, so an early night with channel 26 for our group. Friday was our last full day, so we savored every moment. We had played pool volleyball every day so far, and today was tequila volleyball. More shots, more friends. Dinner was Italian at the breakfast spot. We were trying desperately to get to enjoy the 360 hot tub party, but having a long day of travel the next day, we called it a night early. We apologize deeply to the people we didn't say good-bye to on our last night. There were so many people we needed to exchange info with and didn't get to. So if any of you read this, please private message us with your email addresses and/or facebook info. We had such a great time with all of you - especially Jesse and Lana (I'm her bitch), the Jersey newlyweds, the Woodhouse Aussies, Ryan and Christina, Michelle and Bruce, Rich and Liz, and all of the people whose names fail us - everyone who was there with us really made the trip, as always. The ECs were great fun, with only 40% they did the best they could with what they had. We were disappointed with only one restaurant being open every night, but again we knew it was because of the low occupancy. We haven't been to Temptation Los Cabos since 2008 when it was Desire, and there's no way we'll wait so long the next time. Sorry the pictures are so small... What happened with the transfer? Why the disapointment? Thanks for the TR, it was great! Considering the chocolate night!
Oh, yeah, sorry we forgot to elaborate on the transfer. Now we know things have changed and there was a huge stink between the taxis and the transfer companies a while back, so maybe what we experienced was the norm. But we weren't told about it ahead of time and feel we should have been. When it came time for us to head back to the airport, we gave our transfer papers to the gentleman at Temptations who handles the baggage, etc. We paid in advance for a private round-trip transfer, specifically a Suburban, through Cape-Travel. We were to be picked up at 9am, but when no one showed on time, Temptations called Cape-Travel and they were told that no one was picking us up, that we were to take a taxi and give them the voucher we had from Cape-Travel. Not what we arranged for, and it made me extremely nervous that the voucher wouldn't be accepted. It turns out that the voucher was accepted, thankfully. Not sure if TransCabo works the same now, but we will use them in the future irregardless since they have a relationship with Temptations.
Thanks for the great TR!! We had a blast meeting you and your hubby you were the best chocolate girl yet and such a fun Retro couple. Many laughs were had and great and friends were made. Hope to meet again at TTR sometime. Liz and Rich
