Returned home Monday and figured we should put up a short trip report. The remodel shows how old and rundown the resort was before. This was our third trip there. The design may be over the top but overall we thought it looked pretty cool. PROS: Nice updated look to the place. Grounds looked very nice. Most of the food we had was pretty good (we are not picky). Italian, Asian, Seafood, buffet for breakfast. No problem getting drinks, bartenders were good. We had basic garden view room. Better bed, TV, bathroom, clean. Housekeeping great, lots of bottled water Bash was better than Paty-Os. The view is stellar. Seats are a bit odd. Great outfits all around. PJ night has to go Caffeine was a great addition, loved it! Entertainment crew was great. The big jacuzzi was cool. I think there were 40 people in there Sat afternoon, lol. CONS: To beat a dead horse, pool too deep and cold(spend tens of millions and can't put a heater in the pool?WTF) Could use another bathroom on other side of pool. Sea Flirt was unbelieveably loud and strangely lit(poor choice of materials and design). Italian loud but not too bad. Shades in room, again WTF? Couldn't close them after second night. (If anyone was watching probably saw some fun stuff, lol) Amores was just ok, the old place was better. Overall we thought the remodel was great improvement. Vibe was still great, everyone seems to be having fun! We have already booked again for Aug and might do a June trip too.
The garden view rooms are all over the place... could be the quiet pool block but on the side facing the tower. Could be on the othwr side of the tower in the old 4000 block rooms. Could be facing the parking lot. Important thing to remember is if you don’t like your room ask your Bell boy to show you another option. They are always willing as long as they have availability. Just takes a small investment in time.
No noise issues where we were. Room 1332 if I remember correctly. Rooms were to the left of the sexy pool if you are coming from Bash.
