Just did my bi-monthly scanning through trip advisor reviews of the resort. I ONLY read the negative ones, as they usually have me laughing pretty hard at the end. You know that grumpy couple that sits way off in the shade, the wife swathed in towels as her husband ogles all the other women? They write great reviews (like bad but hilarious). Just about all of them are people who sound like prudes, obviously don't belong at TTR, and are probably not much fun to be around anyways.. The good reviews far outweigh the bad....
We learnt with trip advisor that to judge a review by the significance of people's complaints ... one gave a resort a one star cause they didn't get his steak done right at dinner a few time another reviewer gave a bad review cause they didn't have tip of the line champagne at the bars ... if the review says no hot water bugs no cleaning staff etc.... then we take that one a bit more cautiously... some people are just impossible to please
The one thing that I don't understand , is that TTR management will respond to reviews on Trip Advisor, but I have Never seen any TTR management on this site .... anyone knows why ?
Some of the reasons we are booked at TTR as newbies is because of some of the bad Trip Advisor reviews!!:wink3: Some people will find fault and complain at a funeral. Remember it takes all types to make the world go around.:aktion069: T
Here's a review I wrote on Trip Advisor a few years ago. I still get great comments from it! I have to chuckle at some of the reviews people have written about this place. "The rooms weren't spectacular, the food was not top drawer, people were crude, etc., etc., etc...." I have one word..."Bull...(you can finish it)!" My husband and I have traveled the world and Temptation is the one trip that we most look forward to every year. Why? One reason..... it is just ONE BIG WILD *%#@* PARTY 24/7! If you are thinking about going here for the luxury, the food, the beach, to be papmered like at The Greenbrier, or for ANY reason other than to have a boatload of fun, then you should look elsewhere! Now don't get me wrong, the place is nice, very clean, very friendly, the food is very good and all that. There's nothing about it that I can say is poor, but that is NOT why you go to Temptation. You go for the wild party. The best way to describe it is that it is like spring break for people who aren't in college any more! The Saturday pool party has to be the highlight of the week-long party (in my opinion) and my husband and I cannot even talk about it without breaking into laughter! When I hear comments about people being offended by nudity, sexually charged pool games and entertainment, people engaged in public displays of affection (and maybe not even with their own spouse, GASP!) I just have to ask, Did you seriously not know where you were going?!?! If you are offended by being around people who are having a great time in an uninhibited atmosphere, the DO NOT GO HERE! If there are enough of you, you could ruin it! So get the wad out of your*panties, (or just take them off) take off your top, losen up, have a drink, make new friends, laugh you butt off, kiss someone you just met, (with their permission) and have the time of your life.....or go somewhere else.
Nice review wild1 .... Confirms Temptations is just what I am looking for... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I have found that if you ignore the bad reviews as well as some of the over the top glowing reviews trip advisor is usually pretty close. Temptation isn't a five star resort but you're not paying five star prices. We've been to some very nice places but the price reflected that. Temptation is about the party at most all inclusive resorts the party is over by 10 and not nearly as fun. Service has always been friendly. So realize that you're going to get a three star room at a three star price, but the service and party are five stars.
Yea you have to be smart and be able to read through what some people write. Some people have the problem of letting something early on that bugs them snowball out of control, and then they hate everything moving forward. We found the place on TripAdvisor. Our friends thought we were nuts, mostly because of the reviews that just contained the word "Swingers". People just assume that is like a sex orgy place because of that. We didn't think so and just kept seeing PARTY PARTY PARTY come up in peoples review. And guess what?? I really like to PARTY! So we rolled the dice, and within 5 minutes of being there were so happy we did. Once we got home we were able to set the record strait for many of our friends. Most of them are trying to get in on our next trip. But there are still them few wives that say "no way" and my buddies have to put their heads down in sadness.
