Tried to get friends to come with us to TTR........

But after they read the reviews, they both said they didnt want to go to a "swingers" resort. We have been to TTR, and yes, there are some swingers there, but I dont think it should be considered a swingers resort. Why do people think if there are some lifestyle people around that they cant have a good time? We have been to other "family friendly" resorts, and people hit on us (which we kinda like )

Lol. A few people we know have had those thoughts.. I just tell them unless you go, you won't understand

Well, I think you clearly got your answer as to if those people should come to the resort. Those that think like that would clearly not be happy in a place where the beer and boobs flow freely along with the happy, positive mojo.

There's a reason only cool people go to this resort, and those folks should clearly NOT go.

 

We went with two other couples who were nervous about the swingers. After the trip, no more concern and we're all eager to return.

 

:flash:All of our friends think the same thing. We tell them it is what you want it to be. If you want to swing you can.. if not just sit back relax and enjoy yourself. Then we get the comments about how the men don't want anyone looking at their wives topless etc... BLAH BLAH BLAH..

 

We also had some friends go prior to our trip last August, but their experience was much different from ours and stated that it was okay, but not their thing as they found it a little over the top. We on the other hand call it our home away from home and luv feeling that charge.

I think Temptation is what you make out of it - and must be a good fit, yes .... But, people need to chill-out w/ fear of those in the lifestyle/swingers ... regardless, they are people - what's so scary about this!! Odd to me is all - we have met and partied w/ many people/friends who later told us they were in the lifestyle and we had no clue ... didn't change our interaction in the least still had a complete blast as a group and partied hard every night.

We have had a run-in only once w/ a couple that were extremely aggressive and kinda creepy, but I didn't stick around long enough to ask them if they were the dreaded "Swingers" lol - (sorry couldn't resist) I politely said "no thank you" at which point they didn't get it, so switched my tone told them both to "step off - not interested" ... and eventually they moved on to the next unsuspecting soul - LMAO - eventually they messed w/ the wrong group and we didn't see them much after this - which was fine w/ me.

We just came home this week...(and already planning our next trip). We were first timers. The vibe when you walk in is not "swingers". Everyone is having a good time and very friendly. The key to this is an open mind. We have been to Cancun before, but this was our first time at an adults only resort. The last resort we went to that wasn't adult only had a bunch of 16-20 year old punks running around getting drunk and puking everywhere. As FUNCOUPLE23 mentioned, if you are male and you are worried about someone else looking at your wife topless, then maybe an adult only resort isn't the best choice. However, the whole time we were there I was topless and never once felt threatened. But you will never know until you go and see.

 

We'd agree with most everything said. Lots of "Lifestyle" opportunities available if that's your thing. Lots! Do what you want / are comfortable with and nothing more......duh. We met a very pushy couple......that we were not at all interested in. They were over the top and not our types.....and pushed for a couple days. They didn't accept the no means no thing at all.

Then of course there are lots of single guys "looking" for play.

We are from a little Georgia town NE of Atlanta that is not Democrat or Republican but Southern Baptist!!! Most our friends and Co workers would feel sort of uncomfortable at TTR, Golden Parnassus or actually any resort in Jamaica (someone offerred our Dentist Ganja and they were on the next plane to Atlanta). Didn't even want a refund !!

Don't know if its right or wrong, but thats the way it is.

We know a lot or our friends would actually LOVE TTR, but we won't invite them just because of the remote chance that they might be offended. You have got to be around these folks on a daily basis and sometimes its not worth it. TTR is tons of fun and its really just a real deal !!!

 

It's not the swingers you have to worry about...
