Well with our international travel restrictions finally eased this week I'll be interested to hear how the travel experience goes for my fellow Canadians! I know there are a lot of people planning to travel to TTR in the coming weeks so I'm excited to hear the hopefully great experiences crossing the border, especially on the trip home. We are booked for November and considering rescheduling for the new year. We are both fully vaccinated but still uneasy about having to provide a negative covid test to avoid 14 day quarantine.
Booked for November as well and would be interested in hearing some first hand accounts of people's experiences coming back to Canada.
Awesome that you can travel again... I dont now what I would do if we could not go to TTR for or annual trip...
It was not too bad. Here are a few things to be aware of 1. I took the PCR test on a Thursday and I flew back to Canada on the Saturday of that week this kept me within the 72 hours frame. 2. The PCR test cost me $110 usd. 3.You will need to show the negative test result to the border folks before you leave Mexico and again in Canada. 4.You need to show both your negative test and proof of vaccinations to the border agent in Canada 5. You also need to download the arrivecan app. On this app you will create your trip, upload your passport and proof of vaccinations Feel free to ask me if you need anything else clarified.
@Bryan21178 We haven't been on a plane since November 2019! It's super depressing! We are used to going a least once a year, sometimes even 2 or 3 times!
we are heading to TTR tomorrow. We live in Alberta. I thought the testing provided at the resort was only $25?? Curious why it would be $110???
