Found a pretty good price on Travel Up website....looking for thoughts and opinions on them...have never used them or heard of them but prices seem good.
It’s a discount site. We just booked through them. We waited a few days and called the resort (because their room description was whack) and the resort confirmed they had us in a bash tower room. Used similar company (prestigia) last time and followed the same procedure with no issues.
I can’t imagine why a travel agent would discourage you from booking on a cheap third party website.... all kidding aside, that’s why we called the hotel to verify.
No brainer. Travel agents lose business if you do it yourself. Cant even guess how much $$$ we've saved by booking our trips online. Literally takes about 15 minutes total. Always floors me when someone tells me how much their trip was through an agent vs. self booking. We've used Travelup, Alpharooms, and Pretigia. Never an issue. Used Travelup for our April trip. $207 a night. Seems like Travel agents would be extinct by now. Different strokes I guess. I just like money. LOL
We always check third party sites, we do our homework....But always find our beast deal thru our agent for TTR (so far)...might be our dates or location or that we insist on refundable travel insurance and direct flights...I don’t know. This time we are coming on referral.
We go in 2 weeks (23 mar)we have verified with the resort and are confirmed with what we expected to get. Our price was substantialy better than anywhere we saw. I will let you know how it goes.
