I know this may make me look a but thick! But when I'm booking travel insurance do I need it to include USA Canada and Caribbean I'm thinking no but wanted to make sure so don't get insurance that doesn't cover me!
The provider probably counts Cancun in its Carribean category. Best to check with them directly though. And you never want to be caught without it just in case!
I don't think Cancun is counted as Caribbean, I think they're referring to Caribbean islands like Jamaica etc. Best is to either call and ask, or go through the booking process and read all the terms and conditions. It'll tell you there if Mexico is counted as Caribbean, then book or cancel accordingly.
Thanks for the help guys. The one I'm looking at now has it written as the Caribbean Sea but I will ring to double check as well.
We got screwed with a hurricane 2 halloween a ago due to a hurricane, not my husbands books through his credit card rewards which covers airfare and hotel in such a case. Costs a little more but better than eating airfare. Mrs Ajay
Our travel agent always takes care of it for us. He knows all the ins and outs and keeps up with all the companies. We have had to use it twice over the years..and man we were so glad we had it ! Insurance is one of those things you hate to buy.....until you really need it.... and are so glad you did.
Great site for Trip Insurance Go to Travel Insurance and they have all sorts of policies you can compare and decide what you want. The main thing I look for is the Medical Evacuation part in case something happens medically and you have to get home. The rest is standard flight delays, baggage delays, weather, etc...
Thanks for the help guys I have finally sorted it I'm so bad at leaving things to the last minute! Mine was made slightly more tricky as I have a pre existing condition so not all travel insurance will cover you. But I'm sorted now. Thanks.
