Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on which travel insurance companies are the best to use? There's a lot of them out there and several seem pretty equal in coverage/rates so wondering if anyone had any particularly good or bad experiences. Thanks!
We also Booked through expedia this year and got travelers insurance. It sucks to pay for something that you more than likely will not need but it's nice to have just in case something comes up.
We used travelguard.com ....for about $40 it covers me and one travel companion. Includes your standard coverage plus the ability to cancel should one of our employers decide they must have us work instead of go on vacation.
If you travel more then ounce a year get a yearly package. From Canada I pay 200 @ year for 2 people 2,000,000 medical Cancellation, luggage, trip interruption....... can't go wrong
English, Direct Line annual insurance. Have had the misfortune of having to claim twice, as both of our fathers passed away on the eve of a booked holiday. Not the cheapest, but had a phone line in the UK, not just some e-mail address, so could speak to someone. Had no issues and got a full refund (minus a very small admin fee). You never know! And make sure you have baggage cover, and the cover is enough for what you have paid for your holiday, just in case you have to claim it all back. :daisy:
We always get travel insurance just in case...Last October we got stuck at TTR an extra 3 days due to a hurricane that downgraded to a tropical depression (it rained for only 8 hours)..Those extra 3 days I paid for everything cash (Room+all inclusive, smokes, etc) and kept all the receipts.. made a claim with Travelocity when we returned and got 100% reimbursment like 2 weeks later with a check.. costs a little more but also having peace of mind is worth it
