Senor frogs to Hyatt Regency is about a 10 minute walk. I think you would be safe to walk, street crime is very rare but you might have to shrug off a few weak chat up lines from drunken tourists and locals.

The bus is probably safer than a taxi imho. At least with a bus there are other passengers so you're not on your own.

I have never had a problem on the buses in the many trips I have made to Cancun. I would say take the bus.

    SECOND THAT

i USUALLY TRAVEL ALONE AND HAVE TAKEN THE BUS MANY TIMES LATE AT NIGHT FROM SENOR FROGS XX I WOULD DEFINATELY PREFER THAT TO A TAXI.. A FEW OF THE TAXI DRIVERS CAN BE A BIT PREDATORY....

    bus

I've never had a problem with bus, taxi, or walking late at night....but I know problems can arise anywhere at anytime. Anyway, regarding bus versus taxi from Sr. Frog's to Hyatt Regency, I have to say taxi or walk. You see, the bus will only stop in front of Coral Negro Flea Market (only about a 3 minute walk from Senor Frog's, if that!) and your hotel is still another 5-7 minute walk from there. The next bus stop will not be until Riu Cancun, which is probably also about 5-7 minutes walking. Just take a taxi and get delivered right to your door, or stay in a group of friends and walk to your hotel. Either way, have fun!!!

    mel

hi there i ust checked the map and realized where the hyatt was, as SUSAN rightly said its not worth the bus, only a short walk through the bar zone area, no quiet streets, you should be fine usually lots of people buzzing around that area, and very well policed.. if you take a taxi only a few minute ride, so no problems xx
