It's been awhile since I've been to Cancun and I'm wondering how long it takes from getting off the plane to getting to the resort. I'll be arriving in Cancun at 8:50 am next Monday and am just wondering if I'll be able to get to the resort in time for the 10:00 am BC. I would think I could make it, but not sure how long it takes to get through customs and all that.
The key to getting out of the airport quickly depends on your luggage. If you are just traveling with a carry on, you can book it to customs and be out of the airport within 20-30 min. Then get a taxi to TTR. It’s possible. But it’s very difficult if you are traveling with a big suitcase cuz no matter if you go past customs in one minute, if your luggage doesn’t appear in the carousel, you are stuck, then what if your luggage is the last one on the carousel? You lose valuable time. My advice: pack lightly. And use a taxi instead of a shuttle.
Also don’t let the timeshare people inside the airport hold you up. Just ignore them. ALL the Taxis are outside (no matter what they try to say). Been there plenty of times
Our fastest time from landing to TTR was 35 min and slower was 1h45 min. Depends of costums, traffic etc,
