16th-arrived at the quality inn and suites in st louis around 7pm. didnt start off well as i found out i had been misled because parking wasn't included in the price of the room as i had been told. ended up paying about $85 for parking and the room so the price still wasn't bad, just pissed that i had been lied to. 17th-shuttle was on time at 445am and got to the airport w.o. problems...through security and everything by 530am and had a little over an hour to await boarding...flight went great...arrived in cancun at 1040am and got through the airport without any problems...we had a transfer van all to ourselves and were to the hotel by noon...told our room wouldnt be ready until three so we changed into our swimsuits and went to the sexy pool to observe the games...happened to be miss temptations that day...great time..went back to the desk at about 1:30 and they gave us room 2115 on the first floor near patios...i sleep with the tv on so the noise was never a problem and we didnt go to bed before 2am except on our last night...watched the show this evening and was somewhat disappointed...ate at margaritaville...very disappointed...like a knockoff of senor frogs cept we were the only ppl there 18th-got up and didnt get any chairs by the pool...got a couple chairs on the beach and relaxed for most of the day just reading and drinking...watched ppl play volleyball and anytime they had a contest we went and watched...had a 9pm reservation at the asian restaurant which was fantastic...made it to the lingerie night after the initial show or whatever due to our late reservations...ppl stayed in nice shoes until about 12am...great time...went and hung out at patios afterwards until about 2-3am...late night cheeseburgers and fries began a tradition tonight for the rest of the trip 19th-hung out by the pool and on the beach...played horseshoes...watched volleyball...watched all of the contests...and swam in the pool for a bit all while enjoying drinks...no reservation on this day so we ate at senor frogs which was a great time just like last year...went to the show at nice shoes which was fun...wish nice shoes was open longer...went to patios and hung out 20th-basically the same as the day before all over again 21st-today was the booze cruise set up by first timer and steve...met in the lobby at 930 and we were off...it was a lot of fun...a few ppl got sick so if you have motion sickness take dramamine...the cruise staff is wonderful, the games were entertaining, snorkeling was fun...the only negative was the food wasnt that great but big deal, right? after the cruise we went back and ate at the asian restaurant again...still very good 22nd-we started to feel our vacation nearing an end...which always puts a damper on things...we played volleyball today, hung out at the pool, got drinks, relaxed...read books...walked on the beach...just had a nice day...ate italian, which was good but asian was better...spent the night with the staff at coco bongos..went home at 345 and got cheeseburgers and fries... 23rd-last night here....basically a repeat of the 22nd...even ate at the italian again....hung out with friends we had made until about 1am....then off to bed 24th-up early to catch a flight, checkout was a breeze we also did jet skiing, parasailing, and scuba diving during the trip...we were also asked to two different "private" parties...didnt have the balls this time to accept the invite... overall i loved the resort, perhaps more than my wife, although she liked it more than the gr solaris...trying to talk her into a return trip next year but she wants to try jamaica (more expensive, less fun in my opinion) are there any resorts like temptations in jamaica? adult themed, not just adults only tips: dont miss tequila volleyball, very entertaining dont miss any of the contests, very fun nice shoes shows arent the greatest but worth watching lingerie night is wonderful asian restaurant is better hide the sodas and water out of your fridge so maids will refill anyways take dramamine if you want a clock in your room just ask tip the maids take your own towel get chairs early if you want to play volleyball just introduce yourself and jump in the lobster dinner on the beach was wonderful and a highlight of the trip go to coco bongo negatives: (these are minor things that didnt mean shit to me but other ppl might be interested in) room smelled a little funny shower temp changes on a whim when it rains the party doesnt move to nice shoes at 72ish degrees the pool was chilly the hot tub are just jacuzzis..no heat no clocks around resort
oh and i met a ton of great ppl both from this site and not from this site but i have to run so to name a few chris and his group darren from tx martin and elaine martin and his wife from canada billy and his friend and tons others...sorry for not remembering names
We were there from the 15th to the 22nd so we mighta seen you... We met a whack of great people too, but I am horrible with names- so we ended up calling everyone by their hometowns, e.g. Mr & Mrs San Antonio, Mr & Mrs Idaho, Mr & Mrs Tennessee LOL Glad you had a great time! :headbanger:
sounds like you had a great time.. Great TR. Looks like you may be repeaters like alot of us on this board!
Sounds like you had fun... the Hedo chain is probably your only option in jamaica for adult themed resorts. If you want to try fully clothing optional, there is Grand Lido Braco (it has a new name now) that is very nice.
Remember to mention the need for a pool heater on the survey that you are asked to fill out when you leave. I have one on our pool at home and could not imagine being without it.
