April 30 - May 1: St. Pete Beach, FL Our flight down was delayed 45 minutes, but ended up landing only 10 minutes late, about 10:45 PM. We flew into the St. Pete/Clearwater airport as opposed to Tampa Int'l. It's much smaller, therefore more relaxing. What a feeling to step out onto that tarmac! He picked up the rental car as I gathered our bags. We enjoyed the Dolphin Beach Resort last year, so that's where we stayed this year. He asked for 1st floor availability, and luckily we got a 1st floor poolside room. Because it was after midnight by the time we were settled into our room, we just ordered Domino's and chilled in our room. I woke up early in the moning that first day feeling something wasn't right. My body rejected the Domino's in a big way, but I'll spare the details. I was so thankful for that room we had because I could look out the window from my bed and still see palm trees and sunshine, and step out there for a smoke here and there. I kept in constant contact with my mom, who is an RN, and she advised me of the best way to handle what was going on. We had a grocery store right across the street and Honey went for supplies. He was still able to enjoy his day I guess, but was good about making sure I'd be okay while he went out to the beach. Lord knows I was not going far from my room. Eventually I felt able to go into the pool, then to watch the sunset on the beach right behind the hotel.
