Q- What do you get if you start with a red light in customs (for the 1st time in our 7 trips to BBG/TTR!!), end up with a 3 hour delay on the way home and have rain for 6 out of 7 days while there??? A- An effin' amazing time with great people (both new and old) and great staff!!!!! Thanks to all for making our vacation ANOTHER memorable one. Ken and Joyce ps... normally we do a "long report"... but there are others who already have done a noble job for the time that we were there... pps... thanks to Woody for collating the avatars and turning it into a much helpful PDF. Definitely made it easier meeting the cancuncare folks... ppps... special thanks to Steve for having an amazing TWO catamaran Boobs Cruise. As always a pleasure seeing you and your lovely esposa una otra vez. pppps... and of course a very special thanks to Joyce... my best friend and soul mate. I know she enjoyed celebrating her b-day with special friends...
It was great getting to meet and hang out with you guys, the rain definately did not stop the fun we all had, I keep wanting to do a trip report , but there are so many people to name and fun stuff we all did that im not sure i would give the trip justice with my vocabulary haha... again, great to meet you guys, now we will all have to stay in touch and plan another great trip.

I've never seen the red light in my travels. I was starting to wonder if the red light ever lit up or whether it was just a scare tactic. Sorry to hear you ran into it but glad to hear you had a great time. We kept hearing that the rain was very unusual for that time of year but that didn't make it go away. You sound like great people and I hope our paths cross next trip. Happy belated birthday, Joyce!
Thanks to all so far who've replied. Yes the rain didn't hamper us much ... and the one day it didn't rain, we had the fantastic Boobs Cruise. And of course we had a great time with those we met (or re-met in quite a few cases). The red light was a bit of a bummer but not as bad as an experience we've seen others who hit it on previous trips. The customs agent was very quick and courteous. We only had about a 5 minute overall delay. We are although considering a private transport from the airport to the resort our next time there. We had to wait over a half hour for the extended van transport (Best Day) to not only arrive but to fill up with the amount of people they wanted. Of course we were the last of 3 stops also....
Thats what we did last time...soooooo much better...our tour operator always has a large bus...and TTR is the last stop....it was $60 us...private..stopped for smokes and a bottle....and arrived 1 1/2 hours before others on our flight....worth every penny!!!
