Will I ever be able to see Toy Story 3 in the theater with subtitles? I am only seeing it listed as dubbed.
Try MM Cinema at Paseo Cancun. They usually have subtitled cartoons when Cinepolis doesn't. There's also less of a crowd, and the popcorn/soda servings are bigger!
What a stupid time for a "Kids" movie. Well, I guess I am not catching it. Thanks for looking into it for me!!!!
I keep trying to get the schedule on the mm site, but keep getting "no hay cines con horarios para este pelicula". And if it is 10:20 at night, WTF? I'm not bringing my five year old to a movie at that hour!
I guess they assume the only people who would want to watch it in English are adults. Most of my Mexican friends here prefer to see movies in their original language, since the dubbing isn't usually very good or accurate. Animated movies, on the other hand, tend to have GREAT dubbing, with more "Mexicanized" jokes and whatnot. (Shrek is a great example... it's like watching 2 completely differnt movies) Maybe that's why it's hard to find animated films in English here... the Spanish versions are so darn good! I'm still gonna try to convince Jorge to see the 10:20 showing... wish me luck!
It's 10:20 on Friday, anyone at the English showing? We saw the dubbed version earlier tonight, fun movie and I found I forgot partway in that it was in Spanish. There were even jokes that I had to explain to Max, guess I am getting the hang of the language, haha. Still looking forward to seeing it in English, but enjoyed myself anyway.
I was the same, watching it, my first movie that i 'dared' take on in full Spanish and i forgot at one point it wasn't in English, thoroughly enjoyable movie, even my 1 year old son woke up and was fixated on the screen (without a single cry) for the last 45 mins!! You won't be sorry you went, as good as the first two.
