Probably a goofy question, but I keep hearing about checking out towels and having to make sure they are back or you get charged for them, do people bring their own beach towels or just better to use TTR's??

    Thanks!!:icon_biggrin:

You could bring your own, but then your luggage will weigh more

It's not that big of a deal, we've always used TTR towels, but they do it differently now from what we hear. We're not going to pack towels, heck...we'd go buy a couple and leave them before we'd pack em.

Do not bring your own towel.
No towel can cover all your lounger.
Bring a Funky T shirt you can recognize and drape it over the back of your chair and put the resort towel on the seating portion of the chair.
If you do not return your towel by 7 pm they send your check tickit to the front desk.
You simply go back and get a new one.
If some one inadvertently takes your towel,
it happens with all the booze, and all the towels are red,
you simply go to the towel guy and they give you a new one.
    Been there done it.

We have always brought our own towels as well. Just makes it easier to find our chairs and then you have an extra towel for a pillow if you need to 'nap' by the pool. :) I also bring some big t-shirts to put over the back of them. Look for the 'Home of the Horney Beaver' shirts on my chairs this year.:wave:

just got back from our first trip... and we didn't take our own towels. i thought about it, but glad i didn't do it. things take a while to dry down there with the humidity, and i wouldn't want to deal with trying to get my towel dry for the next day. its nice to grab a fresh one when you want.

my clothes were on the damp side, and i was glad i had brought more than one swimsuit... i would've hated having to use the same towel each day!

turning in the towels each day wasn't a big deal either... the resort isn't so big that you have to go out of your way to return them... its really no big deal.

    enjoy!!
