We are thinking to book for a tour to Chichen Itzan since this will be our first time in Mexico. Does anyone knows if we can book such a tour once we arrive at the resort or should we book it online through other providers? Thanks a lot!
That's weird, I was just watching a YouTube video about visiting there and wondering the exact same thing. Although I did figure that I would prefer the Boobs Cruise as a cultural experience
We're in a similar boat. Arrive next week and want to head to Chichen Itza mid-week. Haven't decided what route we're going yet.
We have some options on our page at: Chichen Itza Tours | **Best Online Prices For 2020** If there are at least 6 of you I'd recommend teaming up and sharing a private tour with your own driver and vehicle. That means you can set your own itinerary and travel directly from the hotel. You won't have to deal with busloads of others and being transported to a central rendezvous point prior to starting your tour. If 6 people the cost of private is about the same as a public tour, more than 6 you'll save money with a private tour. Let me know if you're interested as a group and I can help set it up. The company we use is the same company as USA Transfers who provide airport transportation and come highly recommended.
We did it July last year, it was awesome. But we got stitched up by a local tour company, paid for a private tour but got stuck on a big coach with about 40 other people. It was nearly a 14 hour day. It’s an absolute must do, but use Steve’s link and pay for a private tour, it’s worth the extra money.
We're doing the BC on the 20th, aiming for Chichen on the 22nd (need a buffer day, lol). Getting a private van through USA Transfers sounds 100x better than the big tour bus. Wifey wants to hit up a Cenote too which I believe is part of the package.
