One didn't touch down, but you would think it did.. My place didn't get hit too bad, but next door, where my Sister is staying watching over our neighbors place, it got hit hard.. Privacy fence that had concrete post, DOWN, Siding, A LOT DOWN, Gates, BROKE, Underpen, GONE/BUSTED, Fence, BROKE, etc.... Our house, we have trees down in the back, but they didn't fall on the house.. they fell on each other.. We are gonna have to get someone in to cut them, or they will fall on the house. Big Huge Tree in front yard is split, but didn't fall. Will have to get most of it cut too.. No electricity for over 24 hours. Just came back on not long ago. Crazy night.. I had went out of town to pick up some things, and got caught in the middle of this stuff.. NASTY!!! My truck was in park, but it still moved.. Scared the $hit out of me.. Got to cover in a car wash, & was very thankful. Once we took the road to home, DO NOT ENTER, ROAD CLOSED! Yep, 4 HUGE trees down, all electric lines, phones, etc were out.. Took over 3 hours to get the trees cleared out for me to go home.. I was 2 tenths of a mile from my house.. It happened exactly where I was in a bad car wreak almost 6 years ago.. Lumber yard in the same area, TOTAL LOSS!!! Tore it all down... Big ole' mess, but glad we all faired well... Just thought i'd share this with you all.. This is one kind of storm & things i've never witnessed in all my life, and I hope to never see it again.. The sky was EVIL!!! Once I get my cord to my phone, i'll upload some of the pics I took.. Double Rainbow was awesome, but the sky was right down evil.. Looked wild.. Trees were blue tinted, ground was orange tinted.. CRAZY!!! Ok. i'll end now lol...
Glad you and your family are okay! We had storms and high winds last night, too. A LOT of people in the area are still without power today, lots of schools and stores closed. LOTS of trees down, property damage, etc. I didn't lose power, thank goodness. It's still windy here, but not as bad as last night.
Glad you all are ok too, and thanks... We are one of the lucky ones to get power back today.. Most won't have electric until Sunday or Monday.. My best friend, who lives about 3 miles up from me, is one of the ones who won't get electric back until then.. She won't come down here.. Already tried to get her too.. She has 3 kids too.
