I know this was already discussed, but I just want to state that because my top will more than likely stay on, I am not a prude...I just feel much more secure with my top on. Although, last time I was there, it did come off for a few hours at the end of the trip, but I have since then gained weight and feel even less secure. But I am still lots of fun regardless! So please don't think that I'm no fun just because my top is on at the sexy pool! Now to get back to packing...
I would rather hang out with someone who had a top on and was feeling comfortable than a topless person who couldn't relax. Grab a drink, take in the sun and let your worries go away.
If anyone judges you on whether you have your top on or not....... Do you really want to know that person anyways?
I went my first time in Dec. 11 and I have to say I had myself convinced I was not goin to go topless. After the first day the environment was so comfortable and everyone was so comfortable with them selves it really helped me. By the end of our vacation I would forget I was even topless.
When my wife and I went to Playa del carmen our first trip, We did not plan on her going topless. Actually we never discussed it before going. After approximately 15 minutes of arriving and having our first margarita at the beach her top was off and remained off for the remainder of our trip. This not only surprised me but I think it surprised her too. She felt such a confidence booster after that trip she has really turned into a new woman. Having said that, I dont think any person at TTR will be making you uncomfortable having your top on. Just relax and have the vacation of a lifetime! remember the vacation is for YOU and your hubby. So only do what makes you smile
We agree with HalifaxDan. We just got back from TTR Cancun, and there was a lady from Wisconsin who was an absolute B L A S T. She was a large woman who participated in a drinking contest, had a contagious laugh that you couldn' help but laugh too, and fit into the group of people there perfectly. She never took her top off -- she told us she wasn't going to. In fact, I think she told everyone she wasn't going to. It was her third trip to TTR. Last year she and her husband went to Los Cabos. She didn't do it, and it didn't matter to anyone.
I'm really starting to wonder why women are concerned about wearing their tops.. This is the most unjudgemental place we've ever been to. Be who you are and don't worry about what other people think or want you to do. As someone else said this is your vacation.
We say do whatever makes you feel comfortable instead of catering to the creeper douche bags so they can get their rocks off.
