April 1st to 9th. After a day of recovery, we are feeling a bit better now. Always go through withdrawal for a few days post-TTR. This was the oddest trip to TTR of our 6. Although the place was packed, the entertainment staff had a real challenge getting participation for any and all games. I don't believe insulting people is the best approach for trying to motivate participation but that seemed to be the norm. The bellyflop contest didn't happen, others took a while to get a full compliment of participants. This was the youngest crowd ever at TTR, and it changed the flavour in my mind. This wasn't Spring Break for adults, but simply Spring Break. Loads of 20 somethings acting like 20 somethings do I guess, but we aren't interested in the show boaters, or watching boys try to gangbang a young girl likely not old enough to even be there on Paty'Os floor. Each night there were different groups of boys in there on day passes who didn't look as old as our 17 year old. I heard many in the place challenging them on their ages as it does put a damper on things when children are present. Some argued you need to show ID to get in so they must just look young. Sorry, but that is a very naive statement. The Scots that were mentioned in another report were fun at times and completely out of control at others. The 2 little guys would have been fine if not for the huge avatar looking guy with the little head. He was a complete mess. Persistently climbing on tables at night and security had had enough. Once he tried to climb on to the structure above the bar. Some yelling NO NO while others chanted YES, probably wanting to see a disaster. After running from security, he let off a fire extinguisher in a hallway and smoked out a room. There were still the great people of TTR that we love so much but the 30 to 50s crowd wasn't as dominant and that was a letdown. Its tough when you feel a deep connection to a place and you wonder what the future holds. We go to TTR for a week away from kids, but we weren't able to do that this week. Hoping for better results next trip.
Sorry Todd and Shirley about your experiences on this trip, I heard March was like that too, hopefully it is calmer and young ones gone, when we go at the end of April/may. Hope to see you guys at the meet and Greet in May, might be still recovering from TTR as we get back on May 7.
We were there April 6-10 and although our first time at TTR Cancun, i have to agree. I Thought there would be more singles in an older age bracket, not groups of twenty year olds getting drunk together. There was an even worse group of guys on our last night. There were some really loud groups and some guys did not look old enought to be there.
That sounds like another trip report that was just posted. NOT GOOD! Sorry to hear that your trip was still "with the kids"
Sad to hear. Waiting for more comments and perspectives from others that are there now. Thanks for the review.
So what is the answer to your question, posed in the title of your topic thread? We go in March and simply not had these problems. But the Kilt guys, It must be a cultural thing. They strive to be outrageous. Young people ages mid 20's, never ever bothered us. No one should be gangbanged at Patty O's unless the activity is prearranged and sponsored by the Property. Some people who come here are too old, in answer to your question. Its not supposed to be a retirement home. Edit to add...just realized you said April, but still, my opinion didn't change...we like our Temptation sexy, loud and outrageous
