We are newbys, making first visit the first week of august. We are booked through USA Transfers, and the wife is trying to decide whether or not to schedule a stop off at Wally World. What do you guys think is it worth it? What do you do? What do you go to get?

We've never needed to. Unless you want cases of beer for the room or something I'm not really sure of the point. You can each fly in with a bottle of booze so we'll pick something to bring for room shots and pack it in the luggage. It's cheaper in the US then mexico so why not.

We agree...for us we're at an all-inclusive resort and don't really need much extra stuff in the room. Plus there are shops close to the resort if you really need something...you would pay more obviously but there's also an added cost to stop at WalMart so it's probably a wash. When we get into our vehicle we just want to get to TTR and party!

Can you actually bring booze on plane? If so I wanna bring some for shots as well. I'm guessing you bring in your carry on or what?

No as carry on all liquids under 3 oz so liquor needs to go in checked bags

We'll likely bring some Fireball and get some tequila at the duty free in the airport (it's cheaper).Having some in the room is good for pre-game and sundown shots.

Also, if you want to load up travel containers you can fill them for airplane shots. TSA only cares about the amount of liquid, not what it is.

You can bring full, sealed bottles in your checked luggage. Be careful with the carrying them on in the little shampoo bottles, if the FA's see you then you can get in trouble. It isn't allowed to bring on and pour your own booze even if it's in the little container. You could probably get away with it, but just be aware to be careful about doing so.

If you're picking up a ton of stuff then it is probably worth it. It will cost you maybe $10+ each way in a taxi and take time out of your day, so considering the extra $10 it's probably worth saving some time to enjoy yourself at the pool or bar.

If you just want a few items that you can carry yourself then take the bus for less than a dollar each way.

Remember that prices at the gift shop or convenience stores within walking distance are around 30-50% higher than those you'll find at Walmart.

We buy the little shot bottles all the time to carry on for the plane and put them in a ziploc bag and when they tell you to pull out all your liquids we put it right out there and they have never said a thing. We also have them refilled before we leave for on the way home. I think you have to be careful on the plane and not pour it right in front of the flight attendant though.
