Who do you normally tip at this resort? How much should we bring The resorts we go to normally don’t allow tipping so totally unsure. Rather over tip and have a better experience Just wondering who people normally tip
I tip $10 a day for room service and $5 a meal. The bartenders I usaully drop a big tip at the beginning of the day because I don't want to carry money all day at the resort. Sometimes $20 to 50 depending on the person. I tip about $40 a day I would think maybe more. LOL I get drunk and lose track.
Usually tip $2-3 at buffet so long as you get good service. Day one I always drop $20 to the pool bartender of choice, and that gets me drinks handed over top of people waiting as soon as he sees me coming for a couple days. Or I do $10 every morning to him. We usually top $3-5 per day for the maid, IF they do a good job, refresh bar, etc. Tipping is a way of life for staff in Mexico, BUT they still need to do a good job to earn it. If you don't get good service, don't tip.
Tip what your comfortable tipping, don't stress about it or getting everyone. But 99% of the employees there will beat your expectations and you will find yourself digging for a few bucks.
