At Temptations. Any tips for first timers? Like how to get Premium alcohol instead of the stuff that is never heard of. The website says premium, but I have heard it is not... Looking for the hidden gems of the resort, all resorts have them.
We put tons of tips and tricks in our trip report from feb... http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/temptation-resort-cancun/15339-jen-kyle-trip-report-2-24-3-2-a.html regarding premium alcohol. Simply ask nicely but money does talk so tipping does help. I heard someone ask for stoli after me and they claimed to not have it. Every time I asked they had it because I built a 'relationship'. I know it should not be this way and it doesn't always work that way but just sharing my experience. And of course there are ALOT of premium liquors they simply don't have.
Bring your own cups, they serve in 6oz cups. Bring your own beach towel. If you lose theirs, you'll have to pay like $ 25 each. Tipping is much appreciated. We took advice we saw on the site and brought $2 bills. They go over great.
TRC is all about choices. If you want privacy, go out by the beach. If you feel like being social, strike up a conversation with anyone there. Don't regret not doing something that you wished you would have done or an event that you wished you participated in. Ask for the better booze and don't drink what you don't recognize or what the bar staff says is good stuff. Don't be surprised if absolutely everyone you meet says hello when you walk by them. Get to know Chinos or one of the other ent staff members. Offer someone one of your poolside chairs if you are not using both of them.
Thanks for the tips. Does the same bartenders/servers work everyday? I was planning on tipping the Bartender/Server VERY well when I first get there in order to secure some Bacardi, and whatever my wife fancies at the time... Does anyone know what kind of beer they serve? Thanks again!
Same bartenders on most days although some do move every week. Bacardi is always available although you will almost always have to ask the first time or two each shift. The beer is XX on tap. Not my favorite, but works pretty good with lime.
i tip the pool bartenders 20 bucks a day !!! so 12 nights costs me 440 in tips but they work hard and think of all the $$ u would spend on booze at home in 12 days !!! also paty o guys get some ect .....
