Okay people chime in, we need your help (we are first timers)! Things u want to bring from home? Must haves? Any tips & suggestions welcome!
Energy C with eletrolites. Never brought them before this last trip and it was a game changer for me. I took one every night before going to bed and never got a hangover! I would get it all set up before going out so all I had to do was pour and mix and drink! We also brought an alarm clock that projects on the ceiling so we had a clue what time it was without having to find the alarm clock...it was awesome to have. Of course sunscreen and a travel mug and something to save a lounge chair with. (Tshirt, magazine, your own towel etc.) And most important is a positive attitude and a Desire to have the best time of your life with fun and super friendly peeps!
We always bring: Bluetooth speaker. So there’s always music playing in the room. Suction cup hooks. We love the room and bathroom, but it is lacking hooks. This is great for hanging bathing suits to dry etc. Extension cord. The renovated rooms are good with USB ports, but you always need more. We usually bring one extension cord, so both sides of the bed can charge things. Bar soap - this last time Mark brought a full size bar of regular soap. It was really nice. Some of the things we do when we arrive: Push the tv back. This create a shelf that can be used. Take the tray from the coffee make and put it on the luggage rack. This makes another table. Bring the table in off the balcony and use it as a second bed side table. Store the empty suitcases on the balcony.
Search 99 things to know, there are a lot of tips here. What has not been mentioned above that are on our list is, little red shot cups, bring from home, stop at walmart and liquor store across from walmart if you want, we do and buy booze for room and a six pack of large water bottles, make sure you have ink pens in her purse on the plane for immigration forms, after first two trips we put them on the list lol, hard coated gum in pool bag, dont get soft gum it mooshes out.. lots of sugar free breath mints in the room.
We plan on renting bikes while there. Is the liquor store within riding distance or should be have our airport transfer stop on the way to the hotel?
Um i belive you will find something in walking distance. We used our airport transfer USA stop for us. If you have not been there before (cancun) not sure your gonna like renting bikes, Do you remember the arcade game "frogger" thats the game you play with your life crossing the street around TTR. Lol
That reminds me!! If you book a transfer with USA can you request beer in the car when they pick you up?
They have beer yes, you get what you get, its cold, they will stop for free at a small convience store just outside of the airport for free to get a drink for two...
