We all tip the Bartender, housekeeper, waiter and waitresses, but if you really want to see the biggest smile that you will see your whole vacation tip the gardener, the fellow that scrubs every square inch of the pool, and the guy that rakes the beach. These poor guys work there asses off for us and I am pretty sure they don't make much money. I'm not talking every day, but if you are walking by and have a extra buck I think it would be the best dollar ever spent.
I gave the young lady that folds the towells in the bathroom $5.00 one time,and I think I made her whole week. She smiled ear to ear
Um...... That was my wife...... she pulls that trick everytime we are there....... She says she average's $10.00 dollars per tip.... Let's step it up a little bit next time......:icon_mrgreen:
We are with you we went in Aug and tip as many people as we can. These peopel do work like dogs to make the place fun for us! One morning went out early to get pics of my wife and there were two guys cleanint the beach gave them $5 each and the reaction was priceless! They made sure the sand was perfect for my pictures and even took us to a few good spots to get better pics of her! Worth evey penny
It's the "other" workers that are around that you really don't think of tipping. We gave the older women who was sweeping the floors in the Tex Mex restaurant money and you might have thought we gave her a million bucks! They all work so hard! Try to recognize the "other" workers. It really makes their day.
Our first trip there we asked one of the gardeners to point out where the asian resturant was...he so kindly took us over to the other side of the resort to show us...and of course we tipped him, he smiled ear to ear totally made his day...and from then on he was our buddy everytime we saw him
We tip the other works too. The resort shares the tips included in our all inclusive fees with all employees . It really makes me mad we I see other quest not giving tips because the resort states tips are included. I mean at least leave a dollar tip. These people work very hard for nothing. I wonce saw a waiter's pay stub after deductions, he brought home $7.86 for 2 weeks work!
The last time we were at TTR I was in the Sexy Pool, and so overcome by all the thong-bottomed and topless hotties I started putting $ tips into the G-strings all around. I got a lot of smiles for that, too.
