Tipping at TTR....US dollars or Pesos???

Just wondering whether staff prefers pesos or US dollars when receiving tips??? I know tips are always appreciated but just wondering what most guests use......thanks!!!:daveandmo:

Most definitely US dollars! We always bring $100 in ones and other small denominations. That way you don't get stuck with a bunch of pesos you can't cash in when you get back home. Plus they love US money.

 

so it looks like a fist full of one's .. five's & ten's will get us a long way ? almost done packing .. leaving @ 4am tomorrow cant wait !

PLEASE TAKE NOTE-- if us money is torn, worn or even wrote on the local people can not exchange or use it. also they can not use coins.
we take $25 in $1 bill per day and use "left over" pesos as tips. the workers at the resort make next to nothing and do not have sick leave. so the "tips" go a long way in helping these guys make it.

 

Mexican Pescos, Euro, UK pound, US Dollar I am sure they would like anything they can get.
