So it seems from the comments here they really push you to meet with a timeshare representative... is that opional or do you ahve to meet with them? is there a 'best way' to politely decline..either to meet or in the meeting if you have to attend? if they force us to make an appt and we don't show are there any repercusions? I'm not particularly interested in a timeshare, so don't want to waste my time or theirs...so any quidance would be approeciated... thanks!!!
time share in the past (1 1/2 years ago) a slip was slipped under your room door, no direct contact unless ya wanted to go for the "tour"-- just another name for the sales pitch. we did one several years ago and left w/o any problems after just asking the bottom price then decided it was not for us.
They took us to a desk before giving us our key. They made an appointment for our "tour of the resort". They never mentioned any other aspect. The next day we showed up, got breakfast, a tour and then we we escorted to the RCI room for a 2 hour high pressure sales pitch while attempting to get us drunk. The only bad part of our stay.
to be realistic though I don't think it matters where you go almost all resorts have the same sales system in place. :?
We've never had any problem, as soon as we say that one of us works for an airline they can't get away fast enough
We just politely told the sales person that we were not interested and if they insisted we would very loudly explain why buying a timeshare was not a very good idea. That ended the discussion very quickly and it was never mentioned again.
Save yourself a lot I mean A LOT of money , time , aggravation , headaches , money , heartache , blood pressure , money and TELL THEM TO F@#K OFF politely
thanks! wonderful advice all...we'll have no problem saying 'no thanks'...jst didn't want to get off to a bad start... btw...it will probalby be the only tiem all week we say 'no thanks' to anything!!!!!
they will keep offering you more....spa treatments, or money, or trips..... for real, listen to Roy....save yourself some HUGE headaches, just say no, and don't GO!!! no matter what they offer you...no breakfast, no tours, NO, NO, NO your going to have a great time!!!
