thanks thanks rivergirl!!!!! you have done so much for me on this board, maybe i will meet you this year at the womans club meeting!!!!!
Liz Taylor is tweeting that "This is It" is the greatest movie ever made and MJ is a prophet!! So the movie may last 2 weeks after all.
Somehow I don't think it's going to make it into the next edition of 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die.
Hey, I want Liz Taylors' Twitter address...well, not bad enough to go hunting for it, but still, I want it. Mixz1 shouldn't that list be expanding as there are more movies made? If it's not then as they add new movies to it, and drop others, you end up having seen movies that you no longer need to see before you die...that's crazy. Why should I see a movie I don't HAVE to? Bwahaha! Can you get your money back if you go to see one that is a must-see one year, but is dropped from the list during your lifetime? I'd like a list of all rotten movies I've seen in my life! It would be a really long list. Have any of you seen Attack of the Killer Tomatoes? I watched it twice. I even made my husband watch part of it, he hasn't been the same since. Poor guy.
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes!! A classic in the "Attack Of" Genre, standing heads above Attack of the Clones, Attack of the Crab Monsters and Attack of the Aztec Mummy. Others include, ...50 Foot Chihuahua from Outer Space, ...Bat Monsters, ...Beast Creatures, ...Giant Leeches, ...Joyful Goddess, ...Hungry, Hungry Nipples, ...Jungle Women, ...Puppet People, ...Giant Horny Gorilla, ...Blind Dead, ...Flying Saucers, ...Rebel Girls, ...Kung Fu Girls, ...Killer Shrews, ...Mushroom People, ...Liver Eaters, ...Swamp Creatures. I'm not sure of how often the book 1001 Movies gets revised, so your point is well taken. Nevertheless, IMHO there haven't been many made since the last edition that are worthy of inclusion. We have a film club here where I live. We've been viewing the book in chronological order, having been through the early D.W. Griffiths, Nanook, the early Gish films, a Buster Keaton, A Voyage to the Moon, a von Stroheim (Foolish Wives) and last week Douglas Fairbanks's Thief of Bagdad (sic). Tonight it's Sergei Eisenstein's Stratchka (Стачка) or Strike, his 1925 masterpiece. Two more years and we'll have sound! I just can't group This Is It with any of these, including Killer Tomatoes. http://1001moviez.wordpress.com/
