It just keeps on going..... Milwaukee strikes first adding Sabathia Cubbies counter with Harden Yanks sign Richie Sexon......then also aquire Marte and Nady from Pittsburgh Casey Blake to the Dodgers Teixiera traded from my Braves to the Angels for rags Pudge Rodriguez traded to the Yanks for Farnsworth now all this Manny to Florida/ Hermeida to Pittsburgh/ Bay to Boston talks are dominating the airwaves. I also heard rumors the Braves may still be in the running if they can piece together just what the Pirates ordered ...............This morning, I wake up to find one of my favorite players of all time, Ken Griffey Jr. has been traded from Cincinnati to the ChiSox pending his approval. Certainly beats seeing Brett Favre's mug on the tv 24/7
Griffey would be crazy NOT to go as Chi-Sox actually have a shot at the playoffs and the reds do NOT!
Exactly my thoughts, and it pisses me off because now I'm going to have to root for them in the playoffs so that he can finally get that ring he deserves
Im guessing you will be cheering for the cubs............as I dont think the sox have it in them this year to get to the world series. BUT....I would love an all chicago world series...I would be up there a LOT!
I still love my Reds... I never really like K.G. Jr. He's way overpaid in my opinion.. He's on the D.List more than playing baseball.
woah woah woah!!! we have a problem here Gretski....I would easily pay the type of money he is getting for what he brings to the table. An easy unanimous hall of famer, 600+ home runs, 2600 hits not to mention the name alone puts asses in seats so thats good on the business aspect of it. Does he get injured alot? Yes. However, to still put up some of the numbers he has put up in his injury shortened seasons is pretty impressive. I mean to each his own on how you feel about him....maybe I'm just a little biased   .......and Jason, no I will not root for the Cubbies....ever!!!
I guess as it turns out Manny DID get traded, but it was to LA instead of Florida. Bay went to Boston and Pittsburgh got a steal and a half with 3 MLB ready youngsters and a 4th who will soon be up, love their end of the deal. IMO Boston paid WAY too much, not to get Bay, but to get rid of Ramirez. They could have waited another few months and got rid of him for free. Bad play on their part I think
