Hey everyone, I apologize if these are questions that have been done to death. We did try and read lots of reviews, FAQ's, and sifted the forums first but odds are some of this will be well known answers and for that here's a pre-emptive apology.

So we've done Temptations 7 times now (6 original, and 1 since the reno), and Hedo II once (2015). We generally do TTR when we bring friends but prefer the "sexier" side of things. We had a great time at hedo, however there were some "creepers", and the facilities felt a bit dated, not to mention that Jamaica is fairly locked down still. Not to hate on Hedo of course, we did have a great time and most likely will return one day. How would Desire RM compare as far as facilities quality? It's always hard to gauge by the pictures online. How would the part atmosphere compare? We always loved the spring break feeling of TTR, Hedo had it as well. We realize it depends on the crowd there of course, but most resorts still have a general vibe.

We are both fit, attractive, and in our late 30's. We originally did Hedo and some other sex clubs in our late 20's and although we had a blast we feel like in our current age we will fit in better. As far as the pandemic world goes is Desire still booking up fairly well? We work Government jobs (firefighter and a nurse) so we don't make big bank to put it bluntly, so we would hate to blow our savings on a trip just to find out that due to the pandemic there may only be a dozen people there. It kinda takes the fun out of it when you're going there hoping to socialize, meet new people, and have some public fun only to find the place empty.

Overall would most say the price is higher\lower\about the same since the pandemic? I haven't started the search for prices because I find travel sites pickup your search patterns and begin price muxing on you. Not the resorts fault of course!

At TTR we always walked to some stores nearby for a break, or caught the city bus down to the "tourist shops" to bring stuff home for the family. Having never been anywhere in Quinatana Roo other than TTR, XelHa, and Chichen Itza, we don't really know the lay of the land near Desire. I plan to dig around google maps of course but first hand knowledge is always great.

Anyways, any other tips, ideas, reviews, recommendations are welcome. Thanks for your time!

We went for first time last year in January, and it was epic. Seemed at or near capacity. Price is higher than TTR but service is great. We're about to book Jan 19-23 weekend. They say January is a special month so don't know what it's like other times of year. But no way would there only be 12 people. We went off site for ziplining and cenotes and was easy enough--taxis are easy to get.

We have been to TTR around 8 times pre-reno and twice post reno. Been to Hedo once in 2013. We took our first dive in to Desire RM while TTR was shutdown for it's reno and have been back 3 times since. We are 41/57 and the resort really is open and accepting to all ages. Everyone there is of the same mindset so it's unnecessary to judge by age. If you are looking for spring break party (compared to TTR and Hedo) you likely won't find that at Desire, but it can get pretty wild! We can't wait for our border restrictions to relax so we can take a vacation!

TTR is a wonderful place to meet people that become lifelong friends. We have been to TTR 9 times pre-reno and twice since the reno. We even upgraded our membership in 2019 to master suite. Some of the people we've met here have become so close that we've even visited them and been to their homes in Las Vegas, Canada, etc. and vice-versa. It seems things have changed a bit at TTR post-Covid, at least that is how some of the posts and forums make it appear, but we'll find out for ourselves in February (2/20 - 2/26). Enjoy!

The nice thing about Desire is that it is Couples Only, so there are less likely to be creepers among guests.

I think the facilities at Desire were better than Hedo. We went to Hedo in July 2019 and it was sweltering since the air-conditioning either was absent or didn't work well. We found the events at Hedo poorly organized; the schedule would show events but the events were not actually happening. Service at Desire is exponentially better. This might be because Hedo discourages tipping, but Desire welcomes it.

Desire (either RM or Pearl) is rather secluded, so you really can't just walk out to the street like you can at Temptation.
