I need some help. My Dad is here visiting and we are already bored of this lousy weather. What are some ideas to do to make time go faster. Looking for different idea then the same old, movies aquarium, shopping...yada yada!!
It's more poor me. I hate being stuck inside. One of the top 5 reason for being here. He's on vacation so it's all R & R for him. I will take a look. Thanks V
I saw a lot of gringos today at Plaza Las America / Malecon Americas. I also went driving to see a couple of properties that I am looking at, to see how they held up to the rain = Were the streets flooded?
How about bowling. Not the typical thing to do. Personally, I am not that good but, it is fun to go bowl evey once in a while.
Dad's got a bad knee, the movie he wants to see isn't out here yet, and the list goes on. Ended up just walking around the Outlets and Las America....BORING!!!!
Don't walk the malls, check the website, above. It shows, tonight, Roots Jazz Club is having an event at 9:30 PM, 50 pesos/head. Earlier in the evening, the Institute of Culture is wrapping up a workshop on Ballet and Danza, entrance free. I would expect to see some dancing, and the price is right. Even if these things are not of great interest, they are something to do, and you may make some discoveries, such as having the chance to check out the schedule of upcoming events at the Institute of Culture. I don't know what the connection is, but a new and fairly grand looking facility connected to this Institute has opened on Av Tulum, just south of the offices of Novedades: I see people coming and going from it, in the evening hours, and this may be where tonight's event will be. Check it out. Then, there's my university, where so much goes on there is never enough time to do all of it, much of it free. Click on this link, Portal Universitario Unicaribe then, click on "information general", where they have a kind of bulletin board. Notice a film will be shown tomorrow evening at 7:30 PM. It's free, and open to the public.
