There are no problems a good credit card can't fix

Good luck with your flights/train rides to alternate cities and/or airports or whatever your solution may be. I hear about some major weather hitting the eastern coast and see it affecting people on here. Can't be afraid to drive up those balances on the credit cards. Just make sure that you get to Cancun. That's the only important thing now.

Exactly! You don't even want to know what a one day notice ticket from Memphis to Cancun costs!?!?!? Yikes! Wasn't gonna let mother nature screw up this vacation! I have lots of drinking to do!!

 

After triple our normal snow for the season this is the happiest I've ever been to see a forecast of partly sunny and 20F.

 

Yeah, alternate flights from Birmingham are about what we paid for the entire trip, it's all a mess now because the meteorologists are trying for a "make-up call" because they screwed the pooch a couple of weeks ago when it actually DID snow & they didn't call it until the entire southeast was covered in ice & snow. So now they are shutting everything down & cancelling all flights for an ice storm when it's nearly 40 degrees outside!

It's supposed to be nice on Saturday here too, the day we leave. But you have to check where the plane is coming from! Ours flies in from Washington, DC early in the morning and they are going to get crushed in the storm on Wed/Thurs. Hopefully all is back to normal by Saturday.

K, how about drive to New Orleans tonight, tomorrow morning at 6AM, jump American Airlines 2204 to Miami, then over to Cancun, landing at 10:40. Sipping margaritas by noon around the sexy pool. $424pp.

 

just found out what a two day notice ticket cost out of Nashville,and I am pissed.delta said they couldn't get us there till sat.im going to start drinking now so I don't blow a gasket.

 

Hate to hear bout others travel problem that sucks! Glad we booked a direct flight - even thought we don't leave till Monday.- Sunday night low is 17... 20 percent chance of snow ... I'll take those odds
