Awright, we're drawing near that time of year where I post the "top ten" threads. In the past I had included threads that had been stickied and the threads that have achieved legendary status and just will not die! :lol: I will pull together one last of those top ten lists in another month or two, so pad yer stats while you can. :lol: The new top ten lists will be more exclusive, but also will allow a greater opportunity for peeps who haven't cracked the list before do to so. The qualifications are: the thread must have been started during the year of recognition, and the thread must never have been stickied. Stickies have the advantage of always being exposed on the first page of their respective forums and get more traffic. Not fair. Otherwise, our beloved admin would be on about half of the top ten threads . I am human, so if I accidentally/unknowingly include a thread that once was sticked I beg your pardon. Threads are ranked by combining member participation and general interest. I may tweak the formula differently for the next "new" top ten. And now....... List of the NEW "Top Ten Threads of 2006" (drum roll, please) #10 - Beach Recovery News Feb/March/April .................Cancun is busy recovering from Hurricane Wilma and CancunCare's very own roving reporter, Jim in Cancun, is on the prowl on the beaches and around cyberspace gathering the latest. Steve, CancunCanuck, and others contribute articles and on-site pics of the beach recovery process. #9 - Last nights cancuncare party **32 pics** .................A little hurricane didn't damper the Breakers on March 12, 2006, as Steve counted 54 of them partying hard at an official CC event and posted pics. One of the most successful CC Breaker special events, and many participants weigh in posting their takes on the experience. #8 - Drinks policy at BBG .................Don't shoot the messenger, but johnc had to report the latest BBG drama...they are now enforcing the "2 drink rule"! The Repeaters are up in arms that they can't be served their favorite beverages in "bubba kegs" anymore. One of the biggest rant threads on CC. #7 - Thong Bikini's? .................theresa1166 asks an innocent question: "Are thong bikini's worn at this resort?" What, at the BBG???? Naaaaaaaaaaaaah! A fav subject for many Repeaters and before long everyone joins in. "Who wears 'em?" "Where do you buy them?" ...and... "I can't wait to see YOU in them!" #6 - Naked Roll Call LOL ................Anybody who ever has ended up 100% naked in a game or activity at BBG, raise your hand! A great many Repeaters do :shock: TNT is the little bugger who started this dangerous subject and hasn't been seen again but once after their trip to the Blue Bay Getaway in December. #5 - Who's going.......April 28th to May 12th? ................Roll calls? Roll calls? We don' need no stinkin' roll calls! Wharfrock inadvertantly starts his own little unofficial roll call that blossoms into a 36-page monster of a thread. Might maybe have something to do with the month of May being a popular month for Repeaters? #4 - Five of ENGLANDS FINEST ................Another British Invasion is announced as Bart introduces himself and his crew. Gemma asks, "these lot are the new RnC?? :shock:" Zoolander, silverback, O'Toole, and Quagmire are introduced as the most chatty all-guy group from England since the RnC to take over the Breakers forum. #3 - PARTY JUNE 9,10,11, IN NEW JERSEY ALL WELCOME ................CRAZYMIKE announces the latest Repeaters' stateside get-together. At Carole's last count 16 peeps were locks to show. More than that showed up. Lots of wild antics were reported and pics posted...but not all. Sometimes, what happens at Belmar, stays in Belmar... *wink* #2 - Topless from America ................YinTang completes the grand trifecta for BBG subjects in the top 10. First, thongs. Second, birthday suits. Third...droppin' tops! To sum up a long, engaging 108 page long thread of conversation...IT'S OKAY! #1 - Karan, Janie, Denise, George, Debbie, Derrick and Trina ................Klaw decides Whdream and apple have a good thing going and decides to also start a thread for her "peeps". The thread was started late in the year; however, at the rate these peeps are going they have probably placed themselves in the "Top Ten Threads of 2007" to be posted in a couple more months.
