Original Resort havs bought the Ceiba del Mar and it will now be the Desire Pearl on April 2012 They will realse the information in a couple of week Now we will have 3 choice
Do not go to this place!! We just ame back from there and we regret it big time!! We had our vacation for Temptations, but decided to take our last couple days as Pearl.....BIG MISTAKE!! They are not ready to open, their service is not great and its boring!!! We complained...along with others....save yor money and go elsewhere or wait awhile until they get established and get some entertainment going there....wish we would have not gone
Wow that is very diaspointing to here. We were thinking of doing the same thing in June. How does the new Hot Tub look? How is the food and drinks? Thank you for sharing.
we went to Desire Pearl after our Temptation days....the place is lovely and the people were mostly hot. the grounds really are gorgeous...which was really nice!! The staff is trying but they were having a few opening hiccups..no doubt that will be fixed soon. Im sure that will get better. The food was good but they need another restaurant and i imagine that is in the plans. The disco was missing something...not sure what....but wasnt really happening. The muisc at the pool is way to loud and the music selections not all that good at times. The pool was almost too cold to swim in but that may have been because the place just opened...not sure. The beach is very nice and you can run or walk for miles. However, it is very near Puerto Morales so there is the problem of walkers. I think the solution to this problem is too just make the beach topless and the pool area nude at both resorts. Besides it might help discourage the fat guys from showing off their weewees....really takes away the sexy vibe. But again this is always a problem when nudists go to swinger places. WE will try it again as our concerns probably had more to do with it being new than anything else.
Desire Pearl? My wife and I are going in Jan, 2013. Have never been there on any other adult resort. We have read everything on line we can find. Would love to chat with anyone who has been to either Desire Resort, and any photos G rated or otherwise would be great!
Does anyone have an update on Desire Pearl? I was just wondering if things have improved since they opened back in April.
Yes, after some initial teething pains things are settling in to what will be a great addition to the few adult couples only, c/o resorts available on the Yucatan. There are lots of recent positive trip reports on both Tripadvisor and the Desire Forums about Pearl. Right now the only real problem with Pearl has been the "vibe" in our opinion. Occupancy has not been high so far and you never know if the place will be dead or if there will be a fun crowd. That takes time though, and we really think that eventually Pearl will be "it"- the place to be. We are taking a group of 30 couples to Pearl in early September and again next May with a larger group trip. On our group trips we make our own vibe !
We were there end of Nov. 2012 after 4 days of Temptation. So nice to have just couples to deal with and not a bunch of raging hormones singles guys and girl.....not that thats a bad thing buuuut... We were there 2 days and had a great time. The night club needs some work but being able to cab it to the other resort makes it all good. Met some great people and really had no issues. Staff was great and they are planning to upgrade a few things as well. 88 rooms I think so not gonna be a big crowd but plenty to meet. Planning on going back in May and November 2012.
