Hoorah! College hoops season is back, and my beloved St Louis University Billikens are off to a quick start with a 2-0 record, defeating the Saluki’s of SIUC in their home opener last Saturday at Chaifez Arena aka :”The Jewel of Midtown”, and an impressive, but ugly road win against Indiana State last evening! There are like only 3 upperclassmen on the roster this year, and Coach Crews has done a good job keeping fresh legs in the first two games of the season! I think losing the best defensive player in Division 1, Jordaire Jett, and loosing big men like Cody Ellis have not stopped this aggressive group of youngsters, to making it to The Big Dance. Earl “Bullwinkle” Austin Jr. made a joke during the radio broadcast last night that the Billikens had 37 minutes off the bench LOL! We’re not UCLA, KU, Kentucky, or Duke, but I’m damn proud of this city’s team, and am more excited than I have been in over 5 seasons! GO BILLS:huepfen021: GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BILLS
