The Guestbook - Cash Back For Ttr Stays

Not sure everyone knows this and it applies to Premiere and us “regular” folks but Temptation is registered with The Guestbook and you can get cash back for TTR stays. All you do is forward your actual folio receipt and they determine how much based on some formula. You have to sometimes fight with them as they “disallowed” a stay one time but they ultimately paid for it. There is an ap but I don’t want to post it here and make @Steve mad (??). We have used it last 4 trips and got back between $100 and $400.

 

Thank you for the heads up. I assume we can use this prospectively, but no way to claim for past stays?

 

You might be able to claim a “missing stay” if not too far back? They have to get approval from Temptation either way. That’s where it gets a bit weird as far as how much of a reward you get. Seems to vary. I just claimed our May trip. We don’t use it to book TTR (we call direct) but I do check the rates through them beforehand. You can get the reward through Venmo or PayPal or can apply as cash forward on a stay (I assume if booked through them) for any property in their list. But we have never used that.

 

Just checked and it looks like you can only go back 2 months, but will be nice to have for our upcoming Labor Day trip

 

Be ready for some back and forth and get a good copy of your bill at checkout so you don’t have to play the email game after. We have gotten a “reward” 4x so far and are waiting on the May one but it does actually pay

Thanks for the reminder! I knew about this, but forgot that I never got my credit for my Dec 2024 trip. I just tried adding the missing trip to my Guestbook account, but their calendar only goes back to Apr 2025. I shot them an email with the info, so hopefully that pans out. In the past, I've received refunds between $40 and $150 from them... always nice to have a little money back!

 

I've done it for past trips; it works. I had to "fight" with them to get credit for our Miches stay. I waited patiently for the cash back and by, maybe, 6 months later, I tried to submit the missing stay. Not only did their calendar not go back 6 months, but the Miches resort was no longer on their drop-down menu as the resort had closed (we were there a week before closing)

So I called, emailed... it went back and forth but eventually they did pay.

 

Did you already have a Guest Book account set up before that trip? I just signed up since seeing this thread, so I am not sure I could get credit for a trip last November

 

We've used Guestbook ever since TTR started advertising "save 5%". I wasn't sure if it was a scam at first, but we've been paid 6 times now. Also, we've been able to have a couple "pay forward", which will give you 15% back, though more hoops/criteria to jump through. I also remind my beneficiaries to sign up and submit their stays. They pay way faster than flyback
