Us Brits call them groynes Jim. Groins to us are something different Must admit I didnt know longshore drift was a factor in the beach erosion. Thanks for the update, I wonder though if this structure is going to affect the wave action and turn that area into a millpond.... which wont be any good at all for the current ecosystem.
