So, how is everyone feeling so far about the beginning of the MLB season? The tigers are suprising me as they have only won 1 game, and they were expected to go far! Also the yankees and bo sox aren't exactly starting off great. My Cubbies have won 5 in a row and are 1/2 game out of first place..........but................its early and its been 100 years exactly since my cubs have won a world series, I am expecting them to have some troubles in minute :? What about your teams?
Yeah, the Yankees are off to a less than stellar start again this year. Hopefully it is a matter of getting some of the kinks out with the pitching and the lackluster hitting. Jeter is hurt, Posada is hurting and of course.........Carl Pavano is on the DL. But...... tonight is the first Yankees - Red Sox game of the year. Friday night baseball at it's best. We just have to hope that the rain doesn't ruin the fun. My vote for tonight - - - Yankees over the Red Sox 4-2.
I dont like either, but I love watching their series! Cubs game is on at 7 and is in philly, also a chance of rain so hopefully I will get to flip between both!! GREAT night for baseball I hope.
The Rockies bats were quite and the pitching suspect but I think that had more to do with being nervous over expectations going into the year. They woke up against the Braves and seem to have things back on track. It's not often you can have 2 errors in a game and still win by 5 runs. They go against the D'backs this weekend which will tell if they are headed in the right direction or we need to gnash our teeth more. Jamie
Braves bullpen is KILLING us!!!! they cant stay healthy, and now we have a bunch of scrubs in the pen. We just didnt show up against the Rocks
Cards are 7-3, which is a big surprise to everyone in STL. Looking much better than last year, and may actually get better as the season goes if Mulder, Peniero, and maybe Carpenter come back. No one is missing Edmonds or Rolen. Great time to go to home games, as tickets are actually available.
Its a matter of time until the Cards fall off.........and fall off hard they will!! Especially when it comes to the cubs vs. cards series.......we have had your number the past few years! Its the cubbies year to shine........why cant you see that................ :lol:
Yankees take the first game of the set! I was wrong on my 4-2 prediction though........... I'll take 4-1 anyday. Chien-Ming Wang was on fire last night. Two hitter complete game.
