The Absolute Cranberry’s Perspective

Let me first state we did not understand the negative reviews on this place at all and thanks to all knowledge on this site from the board members. It was highly useful and this is an attempt to give some other newbies some help and ease the fears. We had a complete riot! Here is what worked for us on our five day stay Wednesday-Sunday. Wife 45 me 44. This was a surprise trip to the Mrs. as it was our 20th anniversary. Tip for the gents if you ever want to do this for the lady in your life the rewards are endless. (-: Flight 3.5 hours pretty easy and painless even though we left in snow. Booked on Expedia and all worked great with no problems. Used USA Transfers and highly recommend it for transportation to and from the resort. They were there when we arrived and at the resort for our departure. We went through the orientation which is helpful and skipped the timeshare breakfast thanks to suggestions from folks on the board. Our room 1309 awesome view however did not come without the going through a first room that was a little under par. The first room had a smell and was dirty however a ten spot for my friend Aldo and he set us up perfect. Day one due to travel early in the AM was a day spent on the beach and at the sexy pool. However after dinner it was to bed after a long day in the sun. Beach is not huge but more than acceptable. Sand is awesome with lots of chairs, beds and scenery. The sexy pool where we spent most of the time was so much fun but does require some planning if you want a chair. We usually did the shirt on the back of the chair by 7:00AM and had zero problems getting our spot. Two drinks into the sexy pool virgin tour the Mrs. released the hounds. It was awesome to see her so liberated and having fun. She never looked back the rest of the trip and came home with a great tan. I would say most gals were topless but there were some gals that did not participate which is totally fine. You will meet some of the best people around if you are the social type that has respect in mind. The April Addicts from Canada OMG can they make you feel welcome and do they ever like to have fun. We met couples from Nebraska, Ohio, Texas, New York and Chicago thanks for a great time you know who you are. Day two was more time at the sexy pool and lingerie night. Funny story as this was our first go for the underwear party. I had my tuxedo boxers on and no shirt and looked at myself upon departure from the room and said to the Mrs. “Are you fricken kidding me I’m about to walk down the hallway like this?” She looked at me and said how you think I feel. We laughed and off we went. So glad we did…Had a complete riot drank played some blackjack and off to Pattyo for some night- caps. Day three and four were more of the same with lots of fun with folks partying and just letting loose. We had two dinners one at the Asian and Italian and highly recommend both. Mrs. is a gluten free person and had no problems. Get the sexy coffee at the Italian restaurant. It is a production and a very tasty after dinner drink.
In closing we did not get sick at all like the folks the week prior. I had yogurt and pineapple every day for breakfast at the advice of some of the members on the board. The Mrs. had made to order omelets every morning well done with no problems. Tip a lot and it will be worth your while. I did fives for the fancy dinners and several singles for the buffet. They recognize you and make sure you have a good dining experience. At the bars I did a fiver at the start and five about half way through and received great service from Jose all day long. He is awesome. The games at the sexy pool are a riot but be prepared they are not for the shy. Lastly, the cleaning staff will bend over backwards for you if you leave them something. Again, I gave the staff a five each day and received extra beer and even a bottle of champagne one day. All in all I only spent a little over a hundred dollars on tips and received awesome service. Well worth it as that is all the money we spent besides the trip expense. If you are concerned about your body when they say nobody cares they truly mean it. We are not perfect by any means and are going back next year. We are now April Addicts ourselves. Thanksn again to everyone foe the advice/help.The Absolute Cranberry's are going to be repeaters. It is fantastic reading great reviews like this. I think you can normally tell someones personality by how chilled out and relaxed they have been.
We love having a good laugh and can't wait to enjoy our 1st trip to TTR. (I think we'll fit in)
